Non-Compete Agreements.  A new MLM Trend?

Former Amway Diamonds Marshall Douglas and John Terhune are now leaving Univera for another company called Quivana.  The Former Amway diamonds left Amway and turned their Team in Focus group into its own MLM.   Later they joined Univera.   Rumors have it that the distributors were disgruntled with a new computer system at Univera that had start up problems as well as changes to the product line.

In the following letter pdf_icon.gif (914 bytes) from Univera, its states that Douglas and Terhune are being sanctioned for the actions of joining a "competing" MLM.    The letter however did not mention anything about a court action, which Amway has in the past aggressively pursued with distributors leaving its fold.

Interesting to note is the increasing use of non-compete agreements in the MLM.   There are always new MLMs starting up so it is not unordinary to hear about top performers moving from company to company.   I have even heard of premiums being paid to entice people to leave on group and join another group.
