First, I would like to say; don't email me back. I would not like to have a battle with you and i think I have heard just about enough of your opinions and ideas. The first question that came to my mind though, was why do you want to steal people's dreams? Is it Amway's fault that you did not keep the momentum going or work hard enough to accomplish what thousands have? There will always be those sour apple's who have to justify in their own minds why they didn't succeed. I think that it is sad that you have to smash Amway and you can't find more positve avenues for your life. That's my two cents. I love Amway and I know that it is the real deal. Am I successful? You better believe it. Is it hard? Anything that is worth the reward is hard. Hope you find whatever it is you are looking for.
I do give you permission to mail me if you would like to give it another try in a great line of sponsorship!
We are former "chicago Rhino" distributors. While at a Function in N Carolina, they held some mini workshops. To pay for admittance, our checks had to be made out to CASH. I knew this was a tax dodge, on the diamonds' part. When I protested, I was told I was being negative. The business didn't work out for me, I suspect, because I wouldn't add Baaaa to my vocabulary.
Keep up the good work!
You have take the time to help prevent others from making the same mistake.
Nice work.
I would just like to thank you for the effort you have put into your site, I was sooo close to getting into all of this and fortunately stumbled across your site while looking for Amways homepage.
It sounds as though you've saved me quite a deal of time and money, precisely what they say I'll be getting.
It must take you quite some time and effort to keep your site maintained but once again thanks, I hope you get some satisfaction knowing that you are more than likely helping more people now than you did when involved with Amway.
Best wishes
Love the page. Well reasoned arguments that show the true story. Watch out for the latest scam involving their upcoming internet site (still in the works with a release date of September 1, 1999). Something tells me they won't have any links to your page!
Thanks!
I'm a distributor in the Jim Dornan group (more specifically the Sala diamond group). Jim and Nancy Dornan started their own support organisation called Network 21 around 1990. It's been referred to as the largest global Amway support organisation, although in North America it is not the biggest because it is relatively new.
From the beginning I was told that Network 21 is a non profit organisation. I would like to confirm this. I don't feel comfortable asking my upline for proof since it would imply I don't trust them and could forever harm our relationship. Since you seem to have access to a lot of information, would you be able to investigate this for me? If it is true that it is a non profit organisation then it would solve a lot of the problems and criticsm regarding the Amway business. Of all the Amway related web sites I've visited, Network 21 is not mentioned once, but repeatedly Dexter Yeager and Bill Britt are mentioned.
I can tell you what I do know about Network 21 : Around 1990 when Amway were planning their strategy for global expansion, they invited Jim Dornan to become part of their plans. Network 21 was born as a result of this as an organisation designed to take Amway across the globe and into the 21st century (hence the name). It could be that due to the problems Amway has experienced from the profit making tools business that they insisted that Network 21 must be a non profit organisation. Jim Dornan's upline is never talked about but I'm quite certain he's downline from Dexter Yeager. I've also heard that there's some animosity between him and Yeager, which could have promted Dornan to break away from Yeager's support group. Payment for tapes etc go directly to Network 21 not to anybody upline, but the tapes are distributed via your upline (I think more for convenience. Network 21 don't want thousands of distributors knocking on their door to collect tapes).
One thing that interested me on your website was how Amway distributes product to distributors in the USA. Correct me if I'm wrong : in the USA only Directs can purchase direct from Amway, who must then sell and deliver the product to their downlines. They can charge their downlines a handling and delivery fee for doing this work. Directs also receive the bonus cheques which they must then split up to pay their frontline, who in turn pay their frontline etc.
In South Africa all distributors purchase direct from Amway and receive delivery from Amway, and all bonus payments are made directly into the distributor's bank account. No distributors have to deal with purchases, deliveries and payments. In fact this is one of the selling points of the Amway business. I assume all new markets work this way, but I found it interesting that in the USA they still use a rather inefficient way of moving products and money.
I was once involved with Amway and bought a boat load of what they call Tool's, a large investment for me. It has been over the 180 day mark, probably closer to two years. Is there a way I can get a refund of the open tapes I have? The direct distrubitor I was working under said he never discounted tool and would always buy them back. I am not sure what he meant by this but if I could get a refund I shure would help me, even a partial refund would be great! I have always felt like I would be laughed at if I asked for a refund. What can you tell me, can you help?
Thank you for any help you can give me.
Thanks for your reply.
What I was hoping to get was confirmed evidence. If Network 21 is non profit organisation then it must surely be registered as such with the IRS (much like a charity is registered as a charity). Their registration number could then be independently checked.
The tapes cost R25 (about $4.50), books cost R60-R90 ($10-$16), and a weekend seminar R500 ($90). Obviously Network 21 must make a profit on these tools so they can meet overheads.
I'm quite happy if Jim Dornan at the top of Network 21 is the only one that makes a profit from these tools; what I'm afraid of is if the profits are shared downline with high level distributors. It then becomes an incentive for distributors to recruit so that they have more people to sell tools to. The tools would then become a pyramid structure itself under the umbrella of the Amway business which is not a pyramid. My experience with Network 21 has only been ethical and honest and as I said in my e mail, I don't purchase the tools from my upline but directly from Network 21.
The new lure is the i-net shopping mall. Apparently the new catch to lure people in is to ask if you're interested in helping out a new internet venture part-time...
I understand Amway already has a signed contract with Amazon offering 15% off Amazon books for Amway Distributors. The story I heard is that Amway is committed to the tune of approximately $100 million to fund the new site. They have engaged some firm in finding a name for the I-mall and will be deciding on that soon... They mention several times that they "MAY" take the internet mall public and "IF" they do they will surely make shares available to all the Amway Distributors... The start date was also mentioned several times to be September 1, 1999. They also now use the name "FUNDING IT" rather than Amway. I don't know what that means, but I think that is their new name.
At the end of the sales presentation they gave me the name of a few web sites to check out: www.wwdb.com
What sort of mainframe boxes do you work on? Perhaps you should do a "mainframe for dummies" type page. The PC people were saying "the mainframe is dead" for so long no one talks about this stuff anymore. Yet you couldn't run an operation like a credit card database with 100,000 retailers and 30 million cards with PC's and I don't think Sun can either. You should expand on this.
You are right,MLM is a load. I joined one simply to get a retail tax ID # (so I could buy computer junk and electronics whse.) and I get a hoot out of all the "stinkin thinkin" babble I get.
(Yes,I pay my tax that I am supposed to.I pay a little more on puropse actually,to keep the heat off. It's the dealer markup, not state tax,I'm out to skeeve.)
