Scheibeler Admits he lied? |
I got a google alert about Quixtar stating the "Patriot-News" had an article claiming "Ex-Amway distributor
admits lying." A couple site visitors also sent me the link. The Patriot-News - PennLive.com - Harrisburg,PA,USA Needless to say I was quite shocked. I have reported earlier on Quixtar's harassment suit against Scheibler for their attorneys' misinterpretation of what was he actually said. I went straight to the Alticor Blog and Amway Blog to see if they also reported that "Scheibeler admitted lying", there was nothing there. I thought for sure something would be on the IBOAI website. They love to have stuff like that on their site... Again, nothing was there. I am sure if Scheibeler actually admitted to lying that those websites would be the first to cover the news. If such an apology letter was going to come, Alticor would surely have prepared their press department for the great propaganda opportunity awaiting them. It is strange that they are quiet on this issue. So I decided to call Eric Scheibeler and get his side of the story on it.
Needless to say Eric was very upset about the article. First Eric stated that
he never made such an acknowledgement that he "lied" and never made an apology
for saying anything false. He still stands by the clarification Secondly Scheibeler states the settlement was confidential, so it would be interesting to know how the reporter, John Beauge came to know that the suit was dropped in exchange for an apology. If there is such an apology letter, please expect it soon on the Alticor Blog, the Amway blog and the IBOAI website. They would never miss such a public relations coup. It will be interesting to see what happens next week with Mr. Beauge and it there is a retraction coming from his newspaper. I bet Mr. Beauge got some bad information passed to him. It would be interesting to know just who gave him the information and revealed to him details of a supposedly confidential settlement.
