World Wide Dreambuilders Rewrites Amway History |
"It is the most honest business we know of" - WWDB Diamond David Shores As I was gathering the "profile of success" for a new "profile of success" page with a now diamond getting caught shoplifting three new suits in a Seattle Nordstrom store when he was a direct distributor, I couldn't help but see the obvious lies and deception World Wide Dreambuilders has been writing into their "Profiles of Success". It would appear to me that WWDB is very embarrassed of their Amway history and tradition and just like Pharaoh Ramses in the "10 Commandments" who struck the name Moses from all records, WWDB has stuck the name Amway from all their diamond's histories. Maybe Jim Payne will one day address the "positive lies" in the business instead of worrying about the "negative truths". Here are a few examples of World Wide Dreambuilders deceptions from the profile pages on www.wwdb.biz. Samir Attalah: "Samir started out as a janitor while he went to Bible College. He went on to become a paper carrier while earning his Masters degree in computer science. By the time he saw the Quixtar business, he was making a comfortable living through various businesses and real estate. When I saw the business, I really did not recognize its potential. I basically agreed to buy products and go to a few meetings, says Samir. After 22 months of doing nothing but buying products and attending some seminars, Samir realized that Quixtar was the only way to achieve his financial goals so he got busy. With the help and devoted friendship of Brad and Julie Duncan, he went Platinum in seven months and Ruby three months later." Samir saw the Amway business in 1987, and he might have bought some products from Amway, but Quixtar was invented 12 years later! (Samir also got an injury to his head when Norstrom store dectives caught him stealing three suits while he was a direct and retired!) Glen and Joya Baker: For Glen and Joya Baker, the timing couldnt have been more perfect for a life-changing opportunity such as Quixtar to come into their lives. They were in a desperate situation financially and the stress was beginning to wear heavily on them. The Baker's started in Amway in 1989, 10 years before Quixtar even started. They went diamond 5 years before Quixtar went on-line. Howie and Theresa Danzik: "Howie and Theresa had each built their business to Diamond as singles; Theresa in Hawaii and Howie in Colorado. When they got married, it marked the first time in Quixtars history that two Diamonds were married." This is another good one. Howie and Theresa the first supposed Quixtar diamondsto build their business as simgles to diamond and then to marry (they got married years before Quixtar was around). Howie however forgets to mention he went dimaond with his first wife Susan, so he was not exactly single going diamond. Oh, both Howie and Theresa started in Amway too. Brad and Julie Duncan: Brads business came about by accident. A competitive downhill ski racer, Brad injured his leg in a fall while racing. Any career hopes I had of becoming a champion were gone, he says. With skiing behind him, Brad moved to Seattle when his brother Greg asked him to. Brad was barely in the door before Greg, then a medical student, shared the Quixtar business opportunity. I was so excited. We stayed up all night talking about building our dreams together! Brad remembers. The real story is that Brad started in Amway in 1981, 18 years before Quixtar started. David and Darlene Duncan: David had a successful commercial building construction business in Montana at the time he and Darlene were shown the Quixtar Marketing Plan by their two oldest sons. Darlene had known the boys were involved as Quixtar Independent Business Owners (IBOs) for about four months, but Greg and Brad wanted to have reached a certain level of success before they shared the plan with their dad. They wanted to have proof that they could they build a Quixtar business. In the meantime, Greg and Brad had asked Darlene not to tell David about their involvement with the Quixtar business. So Darlene just bought products from Brad, their sponsor, and kept quiet. Of course all this about Quixtar is a lie, the Duncan's were shown the Amway marketing plan and were diamonds 10 years before Quixtar even started. Terry and Linda Felber: When they were approached with the Quixtar opportunity, like many other people, they had misconceptions about a business of this type. So they fended off their friend until finally, in December, he showed up unannounced and said, Sit down and be quiet! The Felbers never started in Quixtar, they started in Amway in 1976 and were Amway diamonds by 1984. Theron and Darlene Nelsen: Theron and Darlene Nelsen find it exciting to reflect back and analyze the rewards and experiences they've enjoyed because of their decision to become involved in the Quixtar business. The Nelsens started Amway before the mid 1980's. Dave and Jan Severn: When the pupil is ready, the teacher will appear. That saying describes how Quixtar came into the lives of Dave and Jan Severn. I think it would be better said "That saying describes how Amway came into the lives of Dave and Jan Severn. The were diamonds since the late 1970's, almost 30 years before Quixtar started. Matt and Sandee Tsuruda: Two weeks before he saw the plan, Matt sat down and had a heart to heart talk with his mom. What should I do with my life, Mom? he asked. Its going nowhere. Jobs arent paying and I dont know where Im headed. For once his mother didnt have an answer for him. Two weeks later, when Matt saw the Quixtar Sales and Marketing Plan, he got excited even though he didnt understand it very well. Of course Matt saw the Amway plan and started in Amway in 1989, 10 years before Quixtar started. Brad and Leslie Wolgamott: Brad & Leslie were your typical young couple climbing the corporate ladder when the Quixtar business opportunity entered their lives for the second time. After their first attempt, they had left the business with a very defeated and skeptical mind. At that time they decided to succeed in the corporate world instead. Yup, you guessed it. Brad and Leslie started in Amway, not Quixtar, in 1987, 12 years before Quixtar started. Mike and Michi Woods: Although they came to the realization that what they had chosen for a career wasnt really what they wanted out of life, the Woods had no idea what career could provide the life-style they sought. Enter: the Quixtar business opportunity. Do you see the pattern now? The Woods started in Amway in 1987, 12 years before Quixtar started. Dan and Sany Yeun: Without any prior business ownership experience, how did they do it? They consistently talked about the Quixtar business opportunity to friends and strangers alike, they did not let the naysayers discourage them, and they leveraged the power of the WorldWide training system to guide their fast-growing organization. One year later, Sandy walked away from a job forever to continue to build their business full time. Eighteen months later, it was Dans turn. The Yuen's started in Amway in 1988, 11 years before Quixtar started. If WWDB will lie about how all these people started in Quixtar, when in fact they started in Amway, what other "positive lies" will they tell their prospects next? |
