Quixtar
Attorney Eliminated |
| Quixtar outside attorney, James Sobieraj,
who works for Brinks Hofer, has been eliminated from the first round of the AmQuix
Founder's council trivia contest. The trivia contest was kicked off on June 3,
2007. The trivia question was "Who is missing from the Quixtar Founder's
Council." Mr. Sobieraj, the first participant in the trivia quiz, submitted his answer of "Bill Britt" almost three months after the start of the contest. Unfortunately for Mr. Sobieraj, he did not take the time to read the original page kicking off the contest. The original page named all the members of the Founder's council and Mr. Britt's name was the first one in the list. Sadly for Mr. Sobieraj, the rules are clear in this case. Any trivia quiz participant answering with an actual member of the Quixtar Founder's council will be eliminated from the competition. Normally participants are granted five guesses.. We do hope Mr. Sobieraj will continue to play AmQuix trivia quizzes in the future.
Dear Mr. Sobieraj, Thank you for your letter. How you came upon the impression
that Mr. Britt is not a member of the founder's council from my page, http://www.amquix.info/quixtar_copyrights_1.html, is
a mystery to me. At first I thought that perhaps you did not carefully read
the page. But since you already complained to me on All I can suggest is that you read the page once again. http://www.amquix.info/founders_council_2005.html As you do, take note that Mr. Britts name is the first one! "The glorious members of Quixtars Founders Council are: Bill and Peggy Britt; Paul and Leslie Miller; Dexter and Birdie Yager; Tim Foley; Ron and Georgia Lee Puryear; Brad and Julie Duncan; and Jim and Nancy Dornan. To say that I am giving readers the false impression when I clearly state on my site that Mr. Britt is a member of the Founders Council is a great oversight on your part. Can you guess which Quixtar founder, or better yet, Amway founder is missing? Obviously, your guess that it is Mr. Britt is wrong. Im not a lawyer and I dont know what your hourly rate is, but it seems to me that a lawyer should have an ethical obligation at some point to tell his or her client when they arent getting their moneys worth. Perhaps you should stick to patent work. Very truly yours, Scott Larsen Dear Mr. Larsen: Your posting contains the statement: It is my opinion that possibly certain founding "fathers" of Quixtar, find it embarrassing that they are not members of the Quixtar Founder's council. While you are entitled to your opinion, you are not entitled to create the false impression that Mr. Britt is not a member of the Founders Council. It is a fact that Mr. Britt is a member. When you dont know the facts do you just make up ones that reflect negatively on Quixtar and its IBOs? That seems to be the case. Please take immediate action to correct your websites misleading impression of Quixtars Founders Council. Very truly yours, James R. Sobieraj USEBRINKS

Brinks Hofer represented Amway when it was a defendant in one of history's largest copyright lawsuits where Amway settled for $9 million. Brinks Hofer also represented Amway in the NMPA copyright lawsuit where Amway and its distributors supposedly settled for $700,000. |
