Bragging Rights
for Quixtar Distributors. |
| Yes site visitors, Quixtar distributors can now brag that Quixtar
is patented!. I searched this patent site for Quixtar. I
got two unique hits. One patent appers to be for the Quixtar
model itself and the other for the "dido-delivery"
system. After reading a lot of boring text in the claims page, I stumbled accross something interesting. Today's Quixtar model describes just three levels of participation (client, member, IBO) whereas the patent claim describes four levels of participation (client, member, member-plus and IBO). Member-plus is same as a member but they can recruit members and clients and earn the retail markup (no PV/BV) on sales to those they recruit. A Member-Plus could be later converted to an IBO. This is interesting since the WWDB line of sponsorship was touting the "Prosumer IBO" with the same benefits as a "Member Plus". A Member-Plus becomes an IBO when they get sufficient volume to get a performance bonus (100PV) and have at least 50PV in retail volume. The whole point of members and clients is pretty much irrelavent since the marjority of volume goe to IBOs themsevles anyway. The IBOA king pins don't sell books, tapes and seminars to memebers and clients so there is no need to endorse those type of memberships. The patent is pretty boring reading and is very repeatitive in the claims section. A brief explaination of the Quixtar plan is made towards the end of the claims section. Quixtar Investments Inc.(Alticor Investments) owns the patents.
