Were you deceived? Why not take action?

For over the last 20 years Amway, now Quixtar has been aware of the abuses and misconceptions taught by the major lines of sponsorship to their downlines. Recordings from April of 1983, with Amway attorneys and the major lines of sponsorship, show that today's Quixtar has the very same deceptive practices that Amway had two decades ago. Deception # 1: No need to sell "You just buy the things you would normally buy in your household, and have "They just referred to it as online shopping." Site Visitor 2003 "We were told to just change our buying habits" Site Visitor 2003 "....'I don't want to sell stuff to my friends'....NO kidding. Me neither! Obviously, you are familiar with phase one of the business. I'm involved with phase three. It's a whole different kind of business". Were prospects informed of the Member/Client rule, which requires retail
Deception #2: Are they claiming to be somebody other than Amway/Quixtar? "The thing that attracted me to this was this...here's what attracted me. Microsoft was so cool when they set this up. They said "let's make this a sticky site". Diamond - 2001 "I was pitched on MMP - Quixtar was never even mentioned in the meeting, "If possible I have a question for you. Have you ever heard of "group x" Q. What is it?
What do they say in today's Quixtar Business Compendium? 8. Presentation of the IBO Plan: 8.1.5 misrepresent the relationship between the IBO/IB and the Corporation. 8.1.6 directly or indirectly indicate that such products are merely one line of products distributed by a person, company or organization other than the Corporation 8.1.7 directly or indirectly indicate that the Corporation's business, IBOs or products and services produced by the Corporation are part of any business other than the Corporation's business Deception #3: You'll make What would Amway 20 years ago have disclosed? What was the disclaimer from Amway? Nothing like $50,000/year right? Since Amway switched to Quixtar, where is the latest statistic on platinum income? How come they don't still report that Direct (platinum) distributors earn $49,000+ each year? Could it be because now with Quixtar paying the direct's downline, they don't see near that cash flow anymore from Quixtar?
Is Amway/Quixtar really interested in stopping the deception? I think not. Here is my personal experience. In February of 2001 I reported a Charleston, SC Diamond IBO to Quixtar for numerous rules violations after I had recorded his plan presentation. Fourteen months later the same Charleston, SC diamond filed a suit against me in US District Court so that I would take down the critical web page about his open presentation to the public. Additionally there were sound bites from his web site saying "you don't have to sell anything" to do the business. On that page I had stated that due to my complaints to Quixtar, Quixtar reprimanded the diamond. I had assumed that Quixtar had actually reprimanded the Diamond since they said they would "take care of the issue". Later in an E-mail from the Diamond's attorney I was informed that the Diamond was "never reprimanded" by Quixtar. Quixtar refused to give me any documentation of disciplinary action against the Diamond. Due to the fact that Quixtar won't reprimand top IBOs even when blatant rules violations are recorded and handed over to them, I would send all future complaints to your State's Attorney General and the FTC. I believe Quixtar would rather continue to cover up 20-year-old problems than to put long-term fixes in for IBOs deceiving the public. If Amway, now Quixtar, can't fix their problems after 20 years, why not let regulatory agencies force them to fix the abuses?
