IBOAI admits "clerical error"

In a stunning change of direction after several years (2002 2003  2004 2005 2006 2007), the IBOAI website admits a "clerical error" on their website proclaiming that Jody Victor was a "Crown Ambassador" distributor.

*When this website was first published, a clerical error appeared saying that Jody Victor was qualifying for Crown Ambassador. He was, in fact, qualifying for Crown. Over the years this unintended error has continued on the site and wasn't discovered until recently. We apologize for this publishing error and any embarrassment or inconvenience it has caused Jody Victor or anyone else. http://www.iboai.com/IBOAI-PresidentsCabinet-JodyVictor.asp

It appears that sometime between Feb 2007 and June 2007 the IBOA realized the mistake and made the necessary changes to their website with the *'ed comment above.

I was confused about this point and wrote the IBOAI questioning the point, but received no reply. I later obtained Mr. Victor's E-mail address and wrote Mr. Victor in Feb. 2006 sending him the link.  He however refused to answer the question.  It seems strange that since Victor is such an integral part of the IBOA that he never once reviewed his own profile on the organization's website and he himself did not point out the error before this.  Even after informing him of the incongruity, it was still on the IBOA website for over one year.

It could be Mr. Victor was cheated out of Crown Ambassador status.   It has been said that Amway had made the qualifications for Crown Ambassador more stringent just around the time Mr. Victor was making his bid for Crown.   Supposedly if Mr.Victor had finished his qualification prior to September 1980 he would have been a Crown Ambassador. Since his qualification was in August 1981, he missed the "Ambassador" title..

The new qualification requirements were however not printed in the Amway manual L-SA-091 L pdf_icon.gif (914 bytes) (36 megs) which was still being distributed in Amway kits as late as September 1981.
