| New York, NY (Amway Parody Press) - One of Americas largest book store chains officially announced today that they will ban in-store prospecting of their customers by annoying and bothersome Amway-Quixtar distributors. | |

The announcement by the
major book store chain came after years of complaints by customers who have been hounded
and harassed by persistent and irritating Amway-Quixtar distributors trying to recruit
people in their stores. The practice of making cold contacts by Amway distributors in book stores has been taught for years in Amway and has finally reached the boiling point with the chain's loyal customers. Cold contacting strangers is usually the second phase of an Amway distributor's career once he has prospected all his relatives and friends.

One store manager from California said, "customers have started to complain more and more about being approached by strangers in the business, finance or the self-help sections of the store. The Amway distributors lurk around in the store waiting to find somebody who looks gullible enough to fall for their scam. Once the distributor finds a good looking target he tries to make small talk about some particular book the customer is looking at and then asks the customer personal questions about their family and job." |

"As soon as the Amway
distributor has his teeth into a customer, he won't let go until he gets a phone number
from him. Then later, out of the blue you get a call on a Sunday night asking if you
would like to earn more money by going into business with the guy. I know how it
works. They come after me all the time. I play with them for fun
now", noted an employee who has been prospected over 45 times in his store. "Its really funny to watch when there are two Quixtar distributors working the store, and they end up unknowingly trying to prospect each other", noted a store manager from Raleigh, North Carolina. A store clerk from Fort Wayne, Indiana commented, "a lot of times another store customer overhears the pitch, and politely interrupts the conversation calmly telling prospect that he is probably being pitched for Amway-Quixtar. It is really funny to watch the Amway guy's face as the other customer blows the guy's pitch." "We are actually seeing that more and more anti-Amway people are coming into the stores specifically to play tricks on the Amway distributors. It seems to be a popular Saturday night past time in our store", noted one employee from Flint, Michigan. |
