| Ada, Michigan (APP) - Rumors circulating inside Alticor/Amway say that Amway company is considering changing its name to "Asway". The giant worldwide Multi-Level-Marketing sales company which coined its name from the term "The American Way" is now thinking that the "The Asia Way" is now more appropriate since the majority of sales come from Asia. | |

For the last several years the bulk of Amway's sales have come from Asia with its strong markets in China, Korea, Japan, and Malaysia. Sales in the North American market are still below the peak set almost 10 years ago in 1997. Amway coined over $2 billion in sales from China last year alone. |
