Very interesting website... Wished it was available in '94. Although I did all kinds of analyzing (comparing pv/bv ratios, bonuses, etc.), the fact that my sponser was a friend of parents, and we had just moved from another state, I
didn't listen to the voice of reason and signed up. What a ride! I only look back now and laugh. So called "friends for life" were about as friendly as if I had the ebola virus when I got off the tools (books, tapes, amvox messaging;
a lot of lines taught to get on standing order for DoubleX) and was rapidly moving away from the business. I did , however, learn a lot about human nature. I believe that when it comes to money, wealth, etc. that even the
best individuals can be seduced into an evil side.
Anyway, I think your website is a good source for getting the full picture.

Scott,
First, I want to say 'Thank You' for your site. It has been very informative and I had always wondered when the real money was made. I had been in it twice.
The first time was in the mid 80's but, switched over with my upline to a company called Olde World (something like that). Their program and products was pretty much identical to Amway. I believe it was started by an Amway Diamond couple. Are you aware of the company and do you know what may have happen to it?
I was in Amway again in the mid 90's. I had gone to several rallies and a couple of the functions and tried desperately to get prospects to join to no avail. My upline diamond was Glen and Joya Baker under Britt's - World Wide Dream Builders organization.
Just recently, I was aproached by a co-worker whose organizations is under the Yager leg. I decided to do some research on the internet researching information on the material that was given to me (InterNET Services) and I found your site. Your site brought to light on how the program really works.
I have not touched based with the co-worker yet. I will probably meet with him this week and let him know about your site. His has joined and talks about making enough income so that his wife can quit in six months. Sounds very familiar.
Is there away to find out if any of the people from the upline I was in, made it to Direct, Emerald or Diamond?
Hope you had a nice Christmas Holiday and Happy New Year.
Sincerely,
Walter

I'm truly shamed to admit that I busted my ass for 3 years to actualize the DREAM that I was sold by Scamway. The products are too overpriced to retail, and VERY few can work hard enough, sponsor enough other patsys, to actually make $$. I spent about $5000 yearly on tapes, seminars, sales aids, etc., because to not do so was to be "unworthy" of success. I never made more than a few hundred $ to offset the ridiculous overhead, and the above figure does not include buying the huge amounts of monthly product that we didn't need, to do my part in the organization.
The "tools" of the business, mainly tapes, could be produced for less than $.50 each, but cost $5 (at the time) because tools are a major profit center for the leaders, at the cost of the downlines. Multiple diamond right winger Dexter Yager is the primary profiteer in the tool business, as well as the last word on policy & procedure for the "independent" distributors. Internal politics are truly vicious. Any IBO, from at least emerald level on down, who insists on deviating from the P&P manual a la Dexter, is cut off from tool supply and other supports. There is very little actual independence. Those who don't follow the "rules" are cut loose, rather than endanger organizational discipline.
Not only did my social circle ostracize me (I tried to prospect everyone), but I was awakened from my Scamway-enduced fantasy by the sound of the door slamming as my wife left, finding myself with only a downline who weren't willing to work. I can affirm with fervor, that Amway SUCKS!

You want to hear from a pro? Here is the scoop. I am activily re-building my diamonship. I say rebuilding because my group had a 50% decrease after sept. 1 1999. I built the business with three values; product flow, association, and never NEED the business money. I feel if we keep these values the business will be sound and profitable.
I had 4 directs running 7000 - 9000 pv per month, and half a dozen 1000-2500 pv legs. Is thier money? Yes, I was netting after hotels, car, tapes, books, functions,,, and all the rest $53,000. I was profitable, but I never put my life style in a postion of NEEDing the money. You would be amazed at what significant extra money invested can do for your future. The reason most diamonds push the "system" is because they have a life style that can not be supported by the business without your $6 tape, $15 function,,,. Why do they put on this show?
For years I would sit at a meeting, listen to a circle drawer and know my business NET was 2X, and somtimes 3X what his was. He had a bigger pin, but his business NET was less. He needed the ego boost, the center of attention. Ask yourself is or was this your up line?
What happened, sadly I became like them. I forgot my values. I strayed away from the core; product flow, association, and never NEED the money. I started to put on the show. At first the group grew, broke 5 directs within three months of my change. I thought I have been missing the boat, should of done this a long time ago. Finally after 2 years of working, puttng on the show I was a diamond, and then reality hit. Because I was living way above my means, putting on a show. My group started to cut back. The number one reason, I know now, is because I asked them to strectch and put thier income into tapes, started packs, and on and on. God I get mad when I think of my stupidity.
So here we are on the verge of 2002. I have climb the mountain once I will do it again. This time I will remain true to my beliefs. As I look at my group I notice the people that remained have been with me for a long time. Before my stupidity spat. I have tried to personally tell them my mistakes, and the direction I want to take the group. The are all with me, except my upline. I am the "out sider".
We are going to have problems. #1 you need to have some sort of outside motivation, My stories can only be told a couple of times before boredome. #2 I am not promoting the "systime" as upline wants, more like I did before, association is hard when they do not want you. #3 the upline sees my group as a revenue source, "If he would only get his group on ......" those are the words from the leadership. New people are continuely asking why don't you promote-----?
Well I have rambled on to much. I have gone to great detail not to let people know my feelings. I am sending this via a host, it would be great if it turned out to be Meadows server. I like him though, tells great stories.
Well one last thought Devoss and Van Andel never wanted thier idea to explode into a 2-5 year milionair maker. just an oppurtunity for the average person to put some money aside to make a better future. Take care, happy holidays, XXX

I ran across your site while researching MLM opportunities. I believe that Amway/Quixtar is the best program out there. There are real products and real people to help you be successful. There are diverse ways to make money. The only problem with it is you have to try. Most people sign up do nothing and then blame the Company. You are in
control of your own success. Take action and you will not fail. Quit and you are a failure. Thank you, Jenney

Scott,
I have been viewing your website for the past year now and am very impressed with the content. Keep up the good work and don't give up the fight.
I am a Platinum who has now left one of the "systems" and am slowly becoming deprogrammed. Having been a member of their "inner-circle", I have much information that most people are not privy to.

Hi,
I know you said to use this address for corrections on your website, but I had to send you a comment and didn't know what address to use. Here it is:
Anyway, we were doing Quixtar (which is really Amway) for two months before deciding to be "losers" and quit. Now I can breathe free!!! There were so many things I didn't like about the "business" since Week 1, and I am glad it took us only two months to come to our senses.
I have many gripes, but you'll probably get a kick out of this one: Quixtar (and the BWW system) advise IBO's to "counsel upline" about everything. Well, a few days after the September 11 attacks, I was telling one of my upline individuals how I couldn't stop thinking about the tragedy, and how afraid I was that the attacks may lead to war. Well, this upline individual, with a hint of sound and complete wisdom in their voice, replied, "Well, they'll probably just find the guy who destroyed the WTC, make him apologize, and then forget the whole thing." I am sorry, but I absolutely refuse to "counsel" with anyone who shows such blatant ignorance about reality!!!
Hi Scott,
Oh cool, I didn't think you'd actually write back. Well, I'd love to give you my "insider's perspective", but I was only in it for two months,
technically three, as the last month was spent avoiding meetings, etc. I can tell you what little I do know, though:
WHAT BARGAINS?!?!?!?! Maybe I missed something....
The prices were outrageous. We were told when we were sponsored that we could buy all of our ordinary shopping off Quixtar, but it turned out all the high PV items were Amway products, namely Nutrilite, Artistry, and the cleaners. BWW preaches freedom, but so much for having the choice to buy what we want. Oh, I forgot, buying Amway buys you financial freedom - how dumb of me not to think long-term.
a) Nutrilite: I am a vitamin and herbal buff, but the prices were ridiculous. I understood the benefits of all the products (knew more than
my upline), but I could get this stuff with generic brands and still have the same benefits. Having studied a bunch of Biology and Chemistry in college, I never believed the extra "benefits" my sponsors told me about Double X,...... . But I decided to keep my mouth shut to see how long they'd keep up giving false Nutrilite info. I don't think it's Nutrilite's fault, I think these things were made up by IBOs in order to get downline to buy the expensive items. If you want to know specific examples, let me know.
b) Artistry: I like make-up and looking nice, but I can look just as nice buying cheaper brands like Cover Girl. Plus, I only use concealer,
mascara, and lipstick, so I did not want all the extra items they suggested I buy. When I first started, I couldn't help thinking how the lady-IBOs looked like clowns with all the make-up they'd plaster on, now I realize they were buying and using whatever Artistry they could to help their "business". Plus, paying $9 for a small bottle of bad-smelling lotion isn't my thing. I can get that free from a hotel bathroom.
c) Cleaners: I actually did like the cleaners. They were a good price too, but not enough incentive to stay in Quixtar.
There were many factors leading us to quit the business, and economics were actually the small part. I got out mainly for other reasons, and being a scientist I have no head for Economics. All I know is that I did not want to pay the ridiculous prices I was for items I could get cheaper elsewhere.
It goes beyond Quixtar, too. The BWW system sold us tapes that were crap in my opinion. I did not like what I was spending on BWW: the tapes were not worth the money, the repetitious Tuesday-night meetings were not worth the money, and the seminars were definitely not worth the money or the time.
If you want to know anything else of my experiences besides the economics, I'll be happy to share. Just let me know.
Scott,
Here are some things we were told about Double X. I want to emphasize that I heard these comments from IBOs. The Nutrilite literature or the Nutrilite seminars do not make these comments:
1) "Double X makes you feel good. When you quit taking it, you notice you have less energy."
My comments - These are vitamins for goodness sake, not uppers. You'd think they crush up their Double X pills and snort them. I am currently taking my Double X (what we had left over after we quit our business) and I do not feel any different. I believe a good diet (with vitamins) and exercise make you feel good. Vitamins alone do not make you
feel good. I would love it when my upline would claim to know when someone was "on" Double X or not just by looking at them. According to them, "People that look tired and sleepy are not taking Double X."
2) "Double X makes your urine neon-yellow. This proves that it cleans out your body everyday. You feel good because your body has less junk in it because the Double X cleans out the waste inside you."
My comments - As I said, these are vitamins for goodness sake. Vitamins help your cells perform fundamental reactions, they do not clean out the "dirt" in your body. Because I am a vegetarian, I know that the neon-yellow urine comes from B-complex vitamins (vegetarians must take B-complex vitamins because we have insufficient levels of vitamins B6 and B12 in our diets). I attended a Nutrilite seminar recently and someone asked the speaker about the color of the urine after taking Double X. He too said that the urine is a neon-yellow because of excess B-complex
vitamins being released from the body. But I guess this did not satisfy IBOs, because after that I still heard IBOs telling new people that Double X makes the urine yellow because it is cleaning out the body.
If anyone does not believe this, just go to the store and buy a generic bottle of B-complex vitamins. Take a tablet or two and a few hours later your urine will be neon-yellow.
3) "One of the largest components of waste collected at sewage treatment facilities are Centrum brand vitamins. This is because they do not dissolve in the body, like Double X."
My comments - I do not know why they decided to pick on Centrum. I guess they could have picked any non-Nutrilite brand, and Centrum is pretty well known. I knew this was false. I called the wastewater treatment facility in the city I live in, and the scientist I spoke with told me that they have had other people calling them about this claim. This person said such a statement was nonsense. They even called other large and small wastewater facilities in and around the city and each said they had never heard of such a thing. First of all, the concentration of vitamins in wastewater is extremely low, almost too low to be measured. Second of all, it is close to impossible to determine the brand
of the vitamins.
If anyone does not believe this, buy a bottle of generic multivitamins from the store. Choose a multivitamin that is the same size as a Double X tablet. Fill two large glasses of water and put a Double X tablet in one glass, and a generic multivitamin in the other. Stir occasionally to simulate a stomach churning. You will see that the two tablets dissolve in the same time, about 30 to 45 minutes. The fluid inside the stomach is acidic, so this means that both tablets dissolve even
more quickly in the body.
If anyone still does not believe this, call your local wastewater facility.
Hope this helps!
Vivian

Wow, was I ever a dummy! Thank you for trying to tell me that I was an idiot for joining Quixtrash, what a joke! I would only have to spend $200 a month? My upline would help if I couldn't recruit new IBO's? Quality products? What the hell are they thinking? I had 10 people signed up in about 3 months and ABSOLUTELY NO ONE liked the business, we found out what Quixtrash was all about! Thanks for the information and persuasion not to renew.

Hi Scott,
Thank you for your web site. I have been researching Quixtar for about 2 weeks now. The fourth person to talk to me (in over a year elapsed time) about it presented it in a way that got me to think more about it. Not once was there any mention of any other expenses in terms of meetings/tapes......
I was surfing the net and did a web search for an IBO number to get into the registration area of Quixtar to get further in to find answers to questions and to find things to ask questions about; thankfully I got your web site.
I too am very analytical in terms of business especially revenue vs. expenses. You touched on it a couple of times -- the push for the sponsoring IBO to keep saying that I was getting paid to shop from my own business Spend $200 to get $6 back is only 3% kick back and probably doesn't cover the cost of shipping.
Anyways thanks again for the info - I hope it is impartial and not from a disgruntled ex-IBO. You are right though, if it was so good why don't they advertise and make even more money. There is a bad feeling of secrecy to this; for what reason..?
Thanks again, I hope I can be strong and not join as you know what if I make Diamond.......?

Thank you for all of the extremely well presented information. My wife and I have been an Quixtar IBO for only a month but I never felt right about it. Every time I "prospected" someone, I felt like a snake-oil salesman. I can't believe I fell for a thinly disguised Amway. Now I have to kick my own ass!!! And I would just like to say that the "inspirational meetings" (ie: FED) are downright friggin' creepy!
Thanks again.
N.
P.S. Feel free to post this anywhere that you would like. Just please don't put my name or e-mail address. My upline might get word and withhold my $7 dollar check. Gotta love the profits.
DON'T LET ANYONE SHUT DOWN THIS WEBSITE!!!

Scott,
we had light correspondence earlier in the year when I was still involved with Quixtar. At the time I was pretty pro-Quixtar and trying to do everything they asked to become successful. My brother sponsored me after a few tries after hearing a diamond do a house plan at my brother's house. It has been 8+ months now and my wife and I have decided to stop. I know you are not out to get anyone, but simply expose the facts. I think I can be of help. To give you some background: I am a medical professional earning 100K+ annually. I have a great wife who doesn't work and a beautiful 2 1/2 yr old daughter. I have a master's degree in physiology in addition to my professional degree as a physician assistant. I came to Quixtar with out any baggage, ready to roll, and be successful. I ordered all the tapes, read the books, went to most of the local meetings and all of the major functions. I sponsored 12 people in 6 months, which according to my diamond was the second most during that time period in his whole organization. I thought great, but was surprised
because I didn't think I was doing all that great. We made it to the 1000 pv level. We always did 300 pv from our house, but at times we bought things we didn't need to reach our goals. I had 10+ customers. I did pretty good retail, but of course could only get away with charging wholesale prices, which is one of my big gripes. I accrued approx. 6 grand in business expenses after 8 months between tapes, books, amvox (communikate), business materials, hotels, tickets, food, and airfare. I did enjoy it all, and have no regrets-even the money lost because I did learn alot about people, which is priceless. Sometimes I think everyone should be forced either out of college or high school to start their own dummy business and recruit/meet people in the public-it was a growing experience. Anyway, I agree with your website. If you wish I could fine tune some of the details and give you a better idea of what they are teaching out there.
I just couldn't get over the idea that because you really couldn't make any retail profit, the only way I could prosper is if I got others to get in and lose money. This of course is one of the missions of your website. Let me know how I can help. I won't be giving any names, but I would be happy to provide any info that you ask. In your return email could you better explain the difference in north american mlm, Quixtar, etc that you see on your home page. I want to better understand what canada and the u.s. contributed to the mother company before Quixtar and after Quixtar. Thanks, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Scott,
Why are you doing this? I have made some money by being a Quixtar IBO, and I can see future earnings being bigger, and bigger. Quixtar is not Amway, it is a sister company just like Ford, Jaguar, and Volvo. They are all owned by Ford !!!
I understand the risks of doing a MLM business, but it sure seems to work well for me, and others I know. I was into USANA for one year and it didn't work out, No support, and No guidence. I have found with Quixtar there is a GREAT Mentoring system that gives all IBO's guidence and help. Yes, I have found that Amway products do give you a better "bang for your buck" than others in Quixtar !! Maybe the "Others" will take a hard look at this and change their ways, also. Besides, some of the Amway products are really good, compared to what they sell at Walmart and K-Mart...
Please Respond,

Scott,
I was in A/Q for 5 yrs and was having my doubts about alot of things. Your site confirmed them, thank you. The one thing that A/Q gave me was a desire to own my own business. I do and it is profitable!! A foreign word in Quixtalk.
I participate in a discussion forum and use your site to point potential Q recruits to the truth and it has kept at least 3 of 3 from joining. The fact that your site is not venomous and bitter but is straight facts makes all the difference. The saddest part is that the Q reps on site can't even debate your site, they just try to justify it. Well I guess if Diamonds can't do it then we can't expect some guy with no downline to do it either.
Anyway, you know your site is making a difference, I just want to encourage you to keep up the good work. I know Big Brother, I mean Alticor, shut down the original site and I applaud your resilience to redo it.
Thanks again,
Erik

I never did drop you a line to thank you for your haven of clarity. At a vulnerable time, when I was about to commit to this new thing called "quixtar", I backed off to do some more research (much to the dismay/shock of the Amway zombies). I was already rationalizing that I spent an inordinate amount of time with Amway and I hadn't even officially started the system.
After viewing your site, I was brought back to reality. Just graduated from University of Oregon with a Business degree and Entrepreneurship concentration; I realized that none of my professors had ever mentioned this viable practice of the MLM. Then the Amway bubble popped and reality set in. I distanced myself quite easily although a good friend (and business major) was not able to. He still babbles about "growing his business"; as if he is doing anything.
Again, thank you for your diligence. You saved me some valuable time.

Hey Scott
This is Patrick, I live in Fort Wayne, IN. You might remember about a month ago I sent you e-mails inquiring why your site went down. - Basically my friend was brainwashed by a Quixtar rep but I basically told him the truth about "the dream", its a dream - wake up! Actually I couldn't get through to him, he just gave up because I caused a huge stir about it in school(only 140 some seniors in my class his "goldmine")
Scott, there is 1 huge flaw with everything anti-Amway/Quixtar, it's too complex and written in high level language. Why are these schemes successful? It prays on people's gullibility and lack of intelligence.
Make that 2 huge flaws, the other is that there is nothing short and concise about why Amway/Quixtar is evil/next to impossible to become successful/evil - ie people need a pamphlet that after being read in less than a minute will make them realize what is wrong. Have you seen some of the pamphlets on why scientology is a crock? Something similar would be excellent, a summary of your website basically would do the job.
The whole reason this came back to mind is because my first Senior research paper is due in 2 1/2 weeks and my friend is still talking about how there's no way he can lose money.
Its about 12:40am right now, my whole purpose here was to ask this: Where can I get a copy of "Fake it Til you make it" by Phil Kerns in print? I'd like to use it as a source, but that wasn't the whole point of emailing you, you're very knowledgeable on the subject, an expert?, You've been very helpful in the past, I'm not sure what kinds of questions may come up but would you help me answer a few?(I'd send them in the future, nothing right now).
I think, "Why Amway/Quixtar is a poor "business opportunity" in laymen's terms" would be a good description of the angle I'm going for. Oh well, thanks for reading my rambling letter

Scott,
I like numbers too.
Congratulations, your site has been up for over 3.5 years.
You state that you receive no compensation - ZERO DOLLARS - for your efforts.
3.5yrs x 365 days = 1277 + leap day = 1278 days
Assuming (as you do frequently on your site) that you spend 1 hour every other day in reading emails and updates:
1278/2=639 hours you have spent on this site
Multiply this by ZERO DOLLARS and YOU MAKE NOTHING!!!
Not to mention your expenses: server costs, email accounts, hardware upgrades.....plus opportunity costs! My God man, what else could you be doing with your time? I'm sure your family is proud!
You state you have a MBA from Purdue: ZERO REVENUE less expenses equals what?
I'm supposed to listen to your business advice?!?!?!?!
You state that you are focused on investments. And others should put their extra time on their career. MORE GREAT ADVICE!?!?!?!?!
415,000 people lost their jobs in October, over 250,000 in September.
Unemployment jumped .5% to 5.4%. Economists forecast that it will hit 7% by spring 2002. That's over 5 million folks not living the American dream.
Most people's 401K's look like 201K's because they have been cut in half. I guess they will have to work twice as long now before retirement.
And have you considered your investments? Your picture shows that it will be many years until your retirement. Someone is turning 50 in America every 7.5 seconds - WSJ. The effect of the Baby Boomers retiring, wanting to sell, foretells of 77 million Americans looking for liquidity. And just 36 million (GenX, Y) at work, pumping money into their retirement vehicles. What happens when twice as many want to sell.....you know.
Life isn't perfect. I wish you the best as you move on with yours...

Unlike the many IBO's that write to you apparently, I am totally positive about my buisness yet I also repsect what you try and represent on you site. I do disagree with a few things (or maybe just their representation) but on a whole I respect what you're doing.
You mention how this is a "Christian organization". I would say that the LEADERS are Christians but anyone coming into the buisness usually doesn't care about that, they just know the leaders are making money.
I honestly believe that the problem with most people in Quixatr is that their upline-sponsor is terrible. I mean when people don't tell you what it takes to do this buisness it's VERY wrong. Now that doesn't mean that they are being malicious about it, they are just not letting people know that this is NOT a "get rich quick" plan. Better put, they kind of let
them THINK that so not to squash "Hope".
See people as a whole look for the quick easy fix. "How little do I have to do to make 1,000 dollars a month?", " How much can I get for doing nothing?". It is the *Upline's* RESPONSIBILITY to make sure people understand that this IS a Buisness and you WILL have to put money into the tapes and the functions.
Now my question to all these "Former Direct distributors" , "Former IBO's" and "Former Diamonds" that are quoted on your site as saying this is a scam and such:
"Did YOU tell your prospects about the commitment they would need to make to have the buisness work?"
ANYONE I bring into the buisness knows as MUCH as I do. It's even taught by Bill Britt (Yea, I am a part of BBW) that anyone your showing the plan to needs to know ALL you know about the buisness (Tapes, books, The Buisness Plan, ways to make money and MOST importantly how you WILL lose money if you don't DO anything.). I tell them an AWESOME way to make money is to have your friends buy stuff through you on the internet. Memebers and clients are the BEST way to make money NOW. IBO's are the way to make money LATER. Hell, before people sign up I tell them about doing the "extra PV" your talking about. I also make sure they understand that you wont save on EVERY product! Seriously though, anyone having problems doing 150 to 300 PV is still shopping somewhere else besides their store!
When I show the plan, I do ALL the math for all 4 stages to Platinum. I tell them that the books, tapes, seminars cost MONEY. That people ARE making a profit off them. For christ sakes, Quixtar and BWW aren't a bleeping-charity case, they're BUSINESSES!
Does this approach work? I went from 100PV to 1000PV in one month being that honest with everyone. I am staring at 1500 for this month and my goal is 2500. Point being? Everyone in *MY* knows that your not becoming an IBO to save money. Your coming in to learn how to run a BUISNESS that is VOLUME-based. The point? I aint exactly rich and I KNOW it's costs money and I KNOW the pro's and cons and I have CHOSEN to MAKE it work for me.
Take responsibility for your actions and the way YOUR team is run and lead. My team knows what's going on and if your team didn't it's YOUR fault.
Respectfully,
Jim

Hi Jim,
Great letter. Thanks. I'll post it.
When you get a chance fill out my "IBO profitability challenge", which is attached. If you don't have excel, let me know I'll send the forms. I'd be curious to see how this strategy measures up to other IBO's businesses. Don't forget to change the numbers in the expense page to match your groups actual usages.
Thanks and have a happy and properous new year,
Scott
I haven't been in for a year yet actually. Me and my lady got into the buisness in late August 2001 but didn't DO ANYTHING until October *after* F.E.D.(There's a tip: Don't do anything, lose money) SO I can't give a fair and honest number on your Excel sheet. But I plan to keep in contact with you and inform you on my progress. And I will say right now that there is no WAY an entire group will make money. You have to look at it on a 1-on-1 basis!
A growing group will always have new people who are putting more into the buisness than they have made! They won't have HAD the opportunity to make the money, so therefore they've lost it. The question is are you "losing" or "Investing" money? It's all on how serious you REALLY are. But actually I have alot on my heart and I am going to send you a sepreate email talking about some of the things on your site where I think your site is as guilty as anyone else in "leaving info out".
Again though, I am NOT attacking you or the site. I appreciate it all and am glad you took my last email for the honest commentary that it is/was. I also appreciate your ability to comment on it without getting all defensive and being a jerk about it. I actually pride myself in the ability to defend something to my last dying breath but not having to get all jerk-ish about it. (Ya know, "Well your lame ass just doesn't get it so go away you LOSER!", type people.)
But enough self-edification, look for another commentary email in a little bit.

Retiring: First off, if anyone first went and then actually LISTENED at the functions or seminar/rallys they would hear all their Diamond's were STILL building the buisness.... hello? Don't rip the biz till you actually LEARN ABOUT IT. There is nothing that upsets me more then when people just listen to parts of a conversation and then make a judgement off that.
And when people say retire, I have never heard ANYONE say you will never do anything again except watch the money roll in. It's always "Retiring from a JOB". There's your key, from a JOB. Being able to own your own buisness but not have to be there ALL the time to still have it grow. That's freedom to me. I also look at it as a way for me to help others get free from their job as well!
And you want the REAL definition of freedom? NO BILLS. *THAT* is freedom. You don't owe any money. THAT is what people at least in my organization (Up and downline) our shooting for. Not having to go o a job so I can pay bills.
PV BV Issues: I am part of BWW and on every plan we show 250$ makes 100 PV. We also say during the plan the plan that you can pay MORE to get 100 PV or LESS and that we will teach you what the good PV things are. Yeesh, the Kahve(Coffee) is literally 1pv= 1$ !! You can buy 105 bucks of coffee, get 105 PV, hand out some for someone new to try from each box and write it all off on your taxes! DUH! HELLO?!
It's the *upline's responsibility* to know what is good PV and what is not!
Tapes: I read something on this site that made me laugh at the aburdity of it: I was told I'd have a garage full of soap and I ended up with a box full of motivational tapes!
... AND YOU DIDN'T GIVE THOSE TAPE TO YOUR DOWNLINE?! WHY NOT?! It's not exactly rocket science here! I get a tape , listen to it, pass it downline. ALWAYS keep your tapes moving. Yeesh. I am sorry your sponsor sucked and didn't teach you anything.
Money: We teach in BWW that a Direct makes around 30,000. Anything else is an exaggeration and really they're probably using an example of the 1 guy that did it. I can tell you My upline platinum makes over 2,200 a month, PV check alone. That's 26,400. Almost 30,000 and that don't count the other bonuses that put it over 30,000. Sounds like you have NO ONE from the Britt Worldwide system talking to you cause it's all WWDB people. Like you say on the front page, not all systems are created equal.
Misc: Heh, do you have any quotes from 1998 and past from people? Most all of the quotes are 15 and 20 year old quotes from WWDB guys. The BWW system is far different it seems from the WWDB system. Does anyone realize that it's not about the money after you get it? I mean really, when you have all your debts gotten rid of aint that freedom to you? It sure is to me!
I will say that I like the fact you do make the point (although you have to dig for it) that it's not the Company that's messed up, it's the people! To quote Dave Severn: This Buisness is so simple. It's the people that screw it up! Ya got THAT right. You also seem to have alot of things I have never heard of... "60-70% back to IBO's".
Maybe i'm blessed, but I guess I have been place in a LOS that doesn't play around with stupid lies.
The partner stores are there for in case you were going to go to those sites anyway, now you can at least get a little credit back! The partner stores just give you another option! Like Office Max. Now instead of going to an officemax around town, I order my printing paper or any other thing I would go there for anyway through the site! Yeesh, any dummy that's gonna go buy a computer or something just because we have a partner store that has it is pretty stuid.
Buy only what you need and when it comes to tools and everything else don't spend more than you make! DUH!
Respectfully,
Jim
