I think that you need to do a little updating on your research with e-commerce and affiliate marketing. It's too bad you have to waste your time dissing on people's dreams instead of helping them fulfill them. America is the land of opportunity and Quixtar is one of those great opportunities.

We understand Bert and Terri Gulick may have gone their separate ways ?
Is this correct since several former Amway luminaries here believe this to be the case. Personalized Christmas cards were received here from Bert and his children only pictured - with Terri stunningly conspicuous by her absence.
We’re simply curious to know the facts.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for this brilliant and informative site. My husband an I were involved in this in the mid 1990s in the UK and were both totally committed for a few years until the doubts started to creep in. I caused my family a lot of worry and stress as I was brainwashed to the system. We were part of the Harteis group
i just wanted to add a few names to those pins missing in action over here.
John and Nancy Lear -Emeralds
Renton and Karen Ball -Emeralds
Bernie and Janet De-souza -Diamonds ( I know these two are mentioned on your site)
I know of two other couples that were at the Emerald level and have "gone", unfortunately I can not recall there names although I do remember that the men from both couples were called Nigel. Maybe someone else in the UK has wrote to you and mentioned them.
Here is the 1 IBS site in the UK. http://www.ibsnews.co.uk/people.html http://www.letsfindoutmore.co.uk/useful_links.htm

Hi Scott, here is an email from a 'friend' of mine re wwdb new fleecing program:
2.4 Commissions paid to Upline. Specific commissions have been designated for each Premier month of services you purchase. These commissions are subject to modification from time to time. For each Premier month you purchase, a commission is paid to your first-upline Premier purchaser who is a current fiscal year World Wide Dreambuilders and Quixtar qualified Platinum. This commission is paid to partially reimburse that Premier purchasing Platinum for his/her efforts in supplying downline and providing the necessary training, education and support for his/her organization as required by Quixtar. An additional commission is paid to your first-upline Premier purchaser who is a current fiscal year World Wide Dreambuilders and Quixtar qualified Emerald to partially reimburse the additional expenses associated with providing leadership to his/her Platinum organization along with training to much larger and more geographically distant group(s), for example Organizational Opens sponsored by that Emerald. If a Premier purchasing Emerald has a downline Premier purchaser who is a current fiscal year World Wide Dreambuilders and Quixtar qualified Emerald, an additional commission is paid for each Premier month (only that leg, not including any subsequent downline Emerald or higher qualified IBO).

Scott,
First off I am not an Amway or Quixtar affiliate. I was looking in on some network marketing businesses online and found your site.
I find the comments to be very disturbing. Not that Amway, Quixtar, and whatever are necessarily bad businesses but disturbing that so many people would feel betrayed.
If you stop to look at any network marketing business there should be no secret that making money comes from selling the business. Selling or consuming a product is in place to keep things legal.
Feeding off of peoples emotions is an effective marketing tool used by every corporate business. I really don't see why people are taking things so personal. If it were not for our emotions and the advertisements that feed on those emotions I suspect most people wouldn't have bought half of the things they have today.
These businesses may promise the world but every job I have ever had dangles something in front of their workers. Either a retirement plan, pay raise, or the dream to make partner. This is used in the world to keep the workers working. Why is Amway the big bad company? I know people in every profession who are less than tactful. This should not doom the lot of them.
I don't see the harm in the system if you know how it works. Selling lemonade on the side of the road does not make you rich. Creating a network of other people selling YOUR lemonade for you just might. In every instance I can think of, if you get right down to it, selling a system, a dream, and vision with a product behind it is how you build wealth.
Bill Gates doesn't just sell software, he created a business. The software alone did not make him rich. I hear people complaining about being made to buy their own products and how expensive it was. If it is outside of your budget don't buy. People will leave you alone if you tell them you have no money. However, I suspect that Coca-Cola encourages it's employees to drink Coke instead of Pepsi. Doesn't that just make good sense?
Sorry for going on so long. I just wanted to point out that you could find deception and shady events in any BIG business if you spend the time to look for it. Everything is relative to your point of view. Thanks.
