Last update 5/6/2004

I have read those sites. What are you doing for a living may I ask? And, of all the findings and negatives you put out there about Amway and Quixtar, have you spend the same amount of time on evaluating any other business or what ever you are doing?

I am using some of their products and three times I move to different states because of my business, and three times I have to look up an Amway distrubutor to buy products from them. I am afraid that your bad attitude towards Amway will turn off everybody and I find no more supplier.

Why don't you tell me what you are doing and how much guaranteed success you got from it and we will go from there.

Thanks

Hi Scott - do you have any specifics on the LOS Network 21 on your site - or know who does? A gentleman at work was telling me about his experience with them today, and I was dumbfounded. I didn't get all the details, because it wasn't a lengthy conversation, but apparently, someone in Network 21 in this area also does nutritional analysis and suggests 'can't buy from anywhere else' foods. The org is called Health Point, or something like that - have you ever heard of it? Anyway, it supposedly has a website that allows you to order Nutrilite & Better Life Institute stuff. The sign up fee is the same as for Quixtar. However, the person who sponsored him never told him it was quixtar, just told him to order all his nutritional needs for this program from them. It's my understanding that he never got a bonus check or anything - so what I'm thinking is that somebody set up this Health Point & the website was a link to them, and THEY ordered the stuff from quixtar under the downlines number, but kept all the PV & BV to themselves. This guy was confused, because he went to sign up for Quixtar under Britt World Wide, and was told that he already had an IBO number in Quixtar, through Network 21!! But he didn't know ANYTHING about Quixtar!! Something sounds very fishy - I don't have the whole story, but I'll work on getting it!

Anyway, I gave him your link, and I'm going to sit down with him next week and see what the skinny really is. I'm not sure if he's confused - or if this is another elaborate scheme that someone thought up - when I find out more details and sort through what REALLY happened, I'll let you know. But in the meantime, if you have any info on Network 21 - please tell me where to go find it!!!!

Thanks Scott - hope you're doing well.

It is interesting reading your site. Are you offering any option to those you are writing to beside just telling negative stuff.

Thanks

Scott

I am currently a few months into the Britt organization. I find your page interesting and am still, myself, somewhat skeptical but like to be and educated skeptical. Part of me understands all the points you make about profit from tools, functions, etc but, the other part of me says all of the Diamonds got to that level so why can’t I? Just a thought. Also, couldn’t find it but what level were you at?

Thanks

Erik

Scott,

I'm sure you gets tons of email like this, but I love your website. I was shown the plan months ago and had never heard of Amway or Quixtar. After some quick searching, I found your site and couldn't stop reading it. The IBO kept trying to hook me until one day I emailed him expressing that I had decided not to 'join the business' but wished him success in his ventures. I also sent him a link to your site and asked for his honest opinion of it. I have yet to hear back from him.

That was months ago and I hadn't checked your site again until today. I just got done reading Quixtar page and the asinine letters from their attorny. It gave me quite the rush to read your replies and the polite, indisputable logic that was simultaniously a slap in their face. I am very impressed with your knowledge and the way you handle yourself. It's almost a shame they haven't responded again.

Thank you for your site and continue the excellent work.

Sincerely,

Dan

I was just introduced for a very blurry business called Network Twentyone. It was a lady I've been working with from time to time who called me up and talked about how her life all of a sudden got a new meaning, it was wonderful and so on and it was all about helping each other. I like her and respect her because she is a strong and motivated person who owns her own little hotel, but after being on a short presentation I started thinking a little. We are invited to a big meeting where 'everything is happening', but why would I need to go on a meeting if the products really are that good and why would I get boring cd's just to be able to earn some money? I started today looking for links on the internet and found several negative sites about Amway, not so many yet about Network Twentyone but it is Amway-products that Network Twentyone has in their catalouge so I feel a little suspicious right now, is it just a name they use right now to get in to Sweden or are they serious?? Anyway, I just wanted you to know that they moved up north and just wanted to ask, how bad are they, I just don't get the whole business-idea and everyone seems so very exited over a bunch of pretty boring products..( I asked if there only were their own labels or if they had 'real' products like clinique, but they said it was coming new stuff all the time and that it took some time just because we in Sweden hadn't been members for so long, but in the USA there where lots of products, and even Sony was linked to them...hmm..) I would be happy for an answer, and hope I didn't spell to bad..

well, that's all, have a good time/ Jenny

Hey Scott,

This is a new venture Casey is using selling Nutrilite products. He is charging $200 the first session then $100 every 3 months. He is partner with another emerald in Ron Goldman's organization: Tom McFarland. All 3 stores are being run by IBO's (one of them his girlfriend Jeannie which is at the Woodbridge location in a chiropractor's office which is an IBO: Maria Savator) The first one that opened up was in London, Ontario Canada by Tom. The other one in Peterborough just opened and is owned by Jeff and Debbie Piper: Emeralds in Casey's business...

Here is the link to the website, still under construction. Here is how they are prospecting old IBO's and people.

A lot of things have really changed for Debbie and me in the last year or two. We are really excited and things are going very well. We wanted to let you know that we now have our new Clinic open in the Peterborough area. The location is at 403 McDonnel Street, the same building as Kawartha Family Chiropractic.

"Life Assessment Systems strives to help you experience optimum health and maintain maximum quality of life for years to come. LAS employs innovative electronic technology called MERIDIAN STRESS ASSESSMENT to measure whole body health. This is done by measuring the ability of an acupuncture meridian to conduct a minute current. The procedure is non-invasive and the readings that are obtained in this manner, can evaluate the relative health of the organ system associated with that meridian. Disturbances in meridian energy correlate with ill health and dis-ease. Life Assessment Systems can indicate which nutritional, herbal or homeopathic remedies will help to restore meridian balance. Your personal readings are used to build a customized recipe of herbal concentrates and nutritional supplements to help improve the health of your body systems. "

Hi Scott!

Ack!

I had a friend come over about a couple of weeks ago. She had in tow a Quixtar IBO. They showed me the plan, and it seemed very logical. The person showing it to me, seemed a bit apprehensive. A sort of "weird" that I couldn't put my finger on.

"Sounds great!" I said, really going against my gut, because I HAVE been searching. I am part owner of a business, but am always looking for another biz. Legit that is.

So I went to an Open. Impressed I was. But the lady doing the talk seemed apprehensive too. I think that is the best explanation I could give you.

In retrospect, it was the kind of weird like "Here's another one, hope he doesn't find out" weird. Like they knew they were into something "surreal" deep and couldn't get out, weird. The lady was followed up by a gent, who was very funny and very sincere and subsequently captivating.

Anywho, I attended a couple more opens. At the next one, I met the regions founding member. When I shook her hand, she quickly withdrew it. In ALL my years of shaking hands, no one has ever done that - actually pulled her hand out of mine as if - weird to say - she felt uncomfortable shaking my hand?

Weird, I know.

I subsequently mentioned the plan to a couple of friends. "Pyramid" was the first thing out of their mouths. But I was ready for THAT with my own rebuttal. "In pyramids, you can never make more than the person above you, but you can in this system" I replied as I'd been trained to do via tapes.

Little did I know the 17 different points that might truly distinguish a pyramid scheme - Thanks! The discussion would eventually make its way to "How much?" and the reply I would give them was "$100 for IBO signup fee, much like you would pay at Costco, and $200 (actually $250) for some product (2 kits of vitamins, 2 boxes of meal replacement bars, 2 breath fresheners, 1 hand soap and 1 skin lotion - all of which MIGHT have cost $50 at Walmart). Kind of embarressing to relate in hindsight.

This past weekend was a seminar. $35 to attend. No biggee. I was planning on buying some stuff there. Did so. The books were typically 5-10% off list, but the tapes and CDs, were 8$ and 9$ respectively. I dropped $200 on "tools" and THEN another $250 on tickets to the Major coming up in about a month.

One more strange thing. But maybe its just me. At the end of the seminar I walked past the speaker and shook his hand congratulating him on his fine speech. His return handshake was as limp as a rag, not something that I would have expected from a "leader" if you catch my drift.

I might be reading more into this than necessary. But my feeling on this from the inside has been one of harried and desperate. One of questions about percentages and such being swept under a rug. They claim that I should be able to "write expenses off" and claim certain costs against my income tax, but every legitimate business I know, needs to be registered with the local government office. I haven't seen any paperwork forthcoming from that direction (I'm from Canada).

In the end, my nephew (of all people) pointed me to your site. Funny thing is, I always use USENET to search for stuff. This LOS came up blank there, but I should have simply searched the web where your site comes in third.

If its too good to be true, it usually is.

BTW, have you heard their tape, "You decide?" Its all about every OTHER business opportunity out there and why anyone listening would be foolhardy to attempt any of them. Rather ironic, that these two former GM engineers would have the world go entirely Quixtar and sit at home and "enjoy life".

Exactly who would work at manufacturing plants, and retail outlets and bowling alleys?

While I am truly enjoying the books they recommend, my question to you (and them) is:

1. Can I get any of my money back? Not for the books, cuz they are great. Just the tapes and cds.

2. Should I be able to get a refund on those major tickets I bought?

3. Why DON'T they make .mp3 versions of their seminars onto a single cd? Or better yet, make all their stuff downloadable? After all, they are

diamonds! They're making tons of money? Why do they need the money from BSM material? Or is that their only source? And after all their motto is:

Make money

Have fun

Make a difference (ie. help others)

4. Their plan had K-mart marking up product 500% (Between manufacturer and buyer), Walmart marking up product 498% (between manufacturer and buyer) and finally Quixtar marking up product 502%. Why not make it 495% and have people come in droves? Unless the numbers won't allow it.

I'm sure I have more, but my brain is fried :) Back to building my "real" biz.

thanks for your great site keep up the great work

Luke

Hi, I was reading your site about Quixtar as a Pyramid Scheme. I hope you can offer some advice. My girl friend was recently approached by someone she trusts, and respects. He has a successful practice (Chiropractor), and although I have never met him, I have had no reason to worry until now. He is in the process of recruiting her into this Quixtar thing. She has purchased the tapes and is really fired up about it, with dreams of retireing in five years and all that. I was immediately suspicious as I have been approached by Equinox, but being a cynic and a sceptic I managed to easily avoid the whole thing. I have seen couples break up over this type of thing. She knows I am skeptical and I asked her if it was an amway or other pyramid shcheme, and she said no, but although she is a smart girl, she is a little naive to this type of thing. Her money is hers to do what she wants but I don't want to see her get taken to the cleaners. Can you offer any advice, suggestions or recomendations. We are both well educated and it would be really sad to see her fall victim to this type of thing. Thank you for your time.

Hi there, My name is JIM. I have a friend whom insists that Quixtar is very successful and is not a scam. Is this group on the up and up ? She showed me how it works now she has given me tapes to listen to. I'm suppose to go to the meeting (on tuesday nights) which is suppose to get me motivated to make a substaional income. tks for any info concerning this Quixtar group. Tks Jim

My name is John Grant, the youngest of the four Grant boys. I was very upset to read the lies that have been put forth on this site.(a lot of your information is one sided), so I thought that I would tell some of the other side. Where should I begin.........

First, my brother Paul is and always will be my HERO....also my parents are HERO'S to me and to millions through out the world. Most of everyone that my brother Paul brought into 4Nexchange where family and friends who would all stand up for each other, DIE for each other, but never would any of us take turns STABBING EACH OTHER WITH A KNIFE....just to gain wealth...Why would my brother take advantage of his family and friends to gain wealth? The answer is HE WOULDN'T. Money is very low on my family's list of priorities....thanks to my parents making the right choice 30 odd years ago to build the Amway business, we no longer put money above the things that do matter the most...GOD, FAMILY, FRIENDS, TRUST,ETC.

Second, my brother Paul has paid for this mistake more than I could ever go into and tell you because it is a private family matter, lets just say that a Trillion dollars could not get back the things that he has lost. One of many things that he had lost was his honor among the public, which was very hard for him because we (the Grants) have always worked hard and even harder to keep HONOR at home and with the public.

Third, lets put things right about all that has happened, after everything came out to the public and the blaming started, a lot of the investors who had lost all of their life savings, are still close to Paul because they understand his intent was pure and he was trying to help everyone who was willing to invest with him, in fact most of them are waiting until that time in the future when Paul "gets back up on his horse after being bucked off" and are going to invest with and for him, you see Paul is a great man and a great leader, you could only be so lucky to spend time with him.

Fourth, to make attacks against my parents and Don Storms is just ridicules, they have done nothing but sacrifice for everyone who needed them, my parents have been taken for millions and yet they still give and invest with people, not for their own gain but for they are investing in people. this crap that I read about "THE GRANTS WOULDN'T LISTEN TO US BECAUSE OUR PIN WASN'T BIG ENOUGH", I'm sorry but this would be a good place for me to add all of my swearing.......You see my parents/family were in Amway before I was even born, and they care just as much for they "guy" who just got in that night verses their "Diamonds", yes they have a great bond with their "Diamonds" because they have spent a lot of sweat and blood with them, I have seen my mom travel all around the world just to be with the "new guy" because hey needed her help.

I give Thanks to my father in heaven for finding your web-sit. Unfortunately I am one week to late, but its a blessing that the lesson is well learned. I'm sick over what I have carelessly exposed my self to, but I'm grateful that the poison hasn't spilled from me unto my friend and family (especially spiritual). Thank you for your honestly and insight. It is a true reality check when you realize that lying I second nature to some people (disguised as children of God) and for that they will give an account for their deeds. If there is anything I can do to assist or simply support you please feel free to contact me. "FREE AT LAST"

Yes, it was Quixtar. Thanks to them I'm $360 lighter, but the wisdom gained from this deception will protect for many sceems to come. Thank You again

G'day...

I couldn't help but drop you a message. Recently, one of my clients has been relentless getting me to join Quixtar recently. I have an ongoing project at his worksite and therefore have been nice to him (well, maybe more like stringing him along :)

He started out with the "internet business" line and I broke him down in one afternoon to finally spill that it was really a "people business" and they use the Quixtar computers. After lightly pissing him off, he was quick to mention that one of Quixtar's new slang terms for non-believers is SBS (Stay Broke, Stupid).

Now, on to the better stuff....

A couple years ago, I met a young couple at a pool party. They were enjoying the fruits of their "internet business" and even offered me an opportunity to get on board. I said, no thanx, I have my own business. Upon leaving the party, the couple made quite a point to show off their new Dodge Viper. I thought, WOW , spend it if you got it!

Yesterday, I went to lunch with my Quixtar "buddy". He specifically called his wife to join us. She drove up in a new BMW two-seater sports car. I immediately thought, WOW, these MLM'ers (at their uplines urging, I'm sure) will do anything to impress their "downline".... (BTW, I paid for lunch)

You do know about Ooga-Booga parties, right? About 27 years ago, I worked as nite shift Auditor at the Harley Hotel in Cascade, Mich. It was the closest hotel to Ada, Mich. and every month, the Diamond convention would stay there. What a buncha characters! One winter, I got snowed in with them for three days. I musta heard every good "pick-up" line in the book.

The most memorable times were breaking up the Ooga-Booga parties. These teetotalers would come back from an Evangelical Experience with Rich and Jay over in Ada late at night, then cram 30 people in a room and go at it. All of 'em chanting Ooga-Booga over and over again, one of them would be selected to get grabbed around the chest from behind and squeezed hard so they couldn't breath until they passed out. The onlookers would then splash the "selected" one with cold water. Good Clean Fun!

I didn't mean to write a book here, Just couldn't sleep, did a little surfing and had some fun writing you. Keep up the good work with AmQuix and don't let the Lawyers bother you....

Bruce

Interesting to note that most new large pin winners have foreign names...I wonder if their businesses are outside the US?

I have been an Amway/Quixtar distributor/ IBO since 1979. I have personally sponsored/ recruited about 90 people in that time frame. The most that had stayed in at any time were about 15. At that time there were a total of about 130 people in the organization. We did reach 7500 PV once (silver, platimun). We grossed about $1500 that month. For a few years after that we had a group of about 100 people and could barely hit 1000 PV every month. This generated a gross income of about $150 per month. Expenses on tax returns most years were averaging $20,000. (including the tapes, books, events and other business building tools.) Can you say losing money? We traveled the length of the east coast to show the plan to people, sometimes for "no shows".
Our sponsor is the number 2 IBO in the business and has been in the business for 33 years now. Bought his first jet in 1981. He has/had about 200 diamonds in his downline and has one group larger than Bill Britt. I do know what I am talking about because of the uniqueness and closeness of our experience. I've been to Dexter Yager's house with only two other people with me at the property. I've worked backstage at these functions at coliseums with 20,000 and 40,000 people in attendance. I've read all the negative websites for the last three years. I have yet to see one that is even in the same league as far as time in, work put in, results accomplished, money lost as the one I could write in detail. Everything I've read is basically true and I believe all of them. I just wish my story was as good as all those. I still have a membership andthere are still about 20 people who generate an average of 600 P.V. This creates an income of about $40 monthly. This is truly passive because I spend nothing and do nothing including tools. This business stole my life from 18-40 years old. It was all my focus and attention. I literally spent over $200,000 chasing the dream while my wife and I worked at jobs that paid under $10/hour. I then became fully disabled two years later through a rare illness. We had a bankruptcy in 1990 because of the business and almost did it again 9 years later. One month we made $1500. Next best month was about $800. All before expenses. The life we lost is the sad thing. We have yet to have vacation that doesn't have a business schedule somewhere in it. This was our 'life" for 23 years. It's a miracle my wife is still with me after 25 years.
I need to repeat that everything I've read on every 'negative' website is true. All are mild compared to mine. God Bless.
Oh, by the way, the new rules mentiones about non-competing, etc., are true. I just went into the Quixtar website as an IBO and there it is under the What's New section. You guys are dead on correct!
Hope this helps someone.

Upon reading your site, I couldn't help but laugh. I've been an IBO with Quixtar for almost one year. I can tell you with 100% certainty that none of what you've posted is credible. Although there were some aspects that were correct, it sounds to me that you didn't have what it takes to make this business work. I tried to picture in my head what you could be doing right now. You're probably in a trailer home somewhere, wearing a stained t-shirt flipping through TV channels for the 5th consecutive hour. I'd love to discuss with you personally your experience. Here's my phone number 610-212-8781. If you don't have long distance, give me a number where I can reach you and I'll open up my schedule to discuss your "knowledge." What do you think? You'll probably just delete this email...

Have a good day!

Pat

I gave him my number but he never called....:(

Hi Scott,

I'm truly sorry that you didn't experience success with the Business. My husband and I have been in the business for almost three years. We were scepticle at first but I can honestly say that it works. If you put as much time doing the business as you knock the business, I would bet you would be a Diamond by now. Hey that's ok that you're unhappy, not everyone is cut out to do the business, but I would let it go if I were you. You're not going to get anywhere with this but get yourself in trouble. Let people judge it for themselves.

Sincerely,

The Johnsons

Appreciate your information but sure would like to know your qualifications. What is your level of expertise in this area? Are you an attorney? Have you ever sat down with the Leaders of Quixtar and discuss your concerns?

I would appreciate a quick response to these concerns.

Thank You,

Greg

Hi Greg,

I have two good attorneys who help me with my writing.

Quixtar leaders have never written me. My e-mail address is on no less than 35 pages on my site. I don't have Quixtar leaders E-mail address.

Anyone who is curious and can read can do the same research I did. It is amazing that so many people let Quixtar leaders think for them.

Scott

Thank you for your quick response, I appreciate that. My concern is the information I get from you or Quixtar and the reliability of that information. This is why to me, your qualifications and your sources are so important. Surely you of all people would respect that.

What I would hope is that you would tell me who your attorney sources are and YOUR QUALIFICATIONS, what do you do? I'm attempting to get the most accurate information from all sources.

Thank You,

Greg

Hi Greg,

My biggest qualification is that I can read and I am curious. More people need these qualifications. Everything else is really secondary. I have an MBA and ME degree as well.

I suggest you do a little reading and research for yourself. If you go through life relying on others qualifications and opinions you will be helplessly lost. my site is to present other ideas for you to consider. If you don't wish to explore on your own and let "experts" make decisions for you that is fine. All the links you need to the precedent case are on my page. You needn't listen to me or my attorneys if you just read the cases link on that page. Once you read the "judges" opinions then you can make up your own mind.

I find a little bit of skepticism is always good. I suggest you do a little reading of your own.

Read the cases and then get back to me if you have any questions.

Oh, I do suggest you obtain a copy of the contract for the sales of Quixtar BSM's and their commission schedule. If you get one, please pass it along to me as I too want to have the most up-to-date and accurate info. Can you do that for me? You need this contract to makes sure you know your rights to the BSMs commissions once you put in the work to get to Platinum.

Regards,

Scott

Thanks, appreciate the information.

Greg

can you tell me how to get more info on Quixtar.i have a couple a freiends that have just started.and i myself went to a small gathering and listened to the schpeel.it was motivational only nothing was said about the products and there was no discussion on hard numbers.i cant beleive my friends have been taken in by this. so any info on how Quixtar is not going to make them money would be helpful.sincerly, steve

Ran across this article which included Paul Grant's sentence in it. Any updates on Storms?

Scary thing is, I used to work for the two of the people - Buffo and Notwell

Hi Scott,

Your Quixtar site is full of great information. Please keep fighting to keep it up.

C.

Hi Scott,

I don't have much of a story. Some friends of mine invited me to a open meeting this past weekend. I was ready to signup until I got my head out of the clouds and did some research, this is how I came across your site. I must thank you because without your site, research, and dedication to the truth I would have been a Quixtar IBO. My challenge now is to help my friends see the big picture and still keep our friendship.

With many thanks,

C.

P.S. Let me know if there is a way that I can make a small donation that will help your fight.

Hi Scott..

I have read your site regularly and enjoy all of the storys about how people have been "screwed" when they believed the upline. I find myself sitting here nodding my head in agreement all the time. I thought it was about time I shared my experience.

I was in Virginia in the Navy in 1988 when for some unknown reason I wrote Amway and asked them to send me some information. They sent the info in the form of a "profit sharing direct distributer" calling my house. I was eager to make money so I was all about going to "the plan" at the hotel. I saw Paul Phillips show the plan. At the time he was married to Louise Phillips, Britt Diamond. The kit was $112.00 and I was in.

We were using the so called new Rocky Covington 6-4-2 plan. My wife and I went to all the opens, rallys, seminars, and major functions. We read the books and bought the tapes. Stayed late "getting coffee" at the Dennys after the opens. I wasn't long before I got out of the Navy in 1991 that i was asking questions that nobody would ever answer. I would ask where does the money go at the opens and the functions and I was always told it just pays for the room or building. One time at product pick-up a guy I sponsored was telling my sponsor he told a guy it was Amway when asked, and my sponsor was like a wild man and said...go back and tell him its not Amway. Right there is where I said...this line of sponsorship is no good. I still thought the busines was OK.

I moved to Indiana and found a new direct and liked what I heard...this time it was the Yohey Diamondship. I got a transfer and the same stuff....6-4-2, tapes, etc. This guy was a new direct so he was still somewhat open with everything to the ones he sponsored. I started seeing how he didnt have to pay as much for the tapes as I did. After puting 2 and 2 together, i realized i was just a source for the sale of tapes and functions and books....heck, they never told me to actually sell products. I also thought it was odd that Bill Britt owned a company called Diamond Clothiers who sold suits and ties at all the functions. I saw someplace on your site about church services where Billy Z. was there and they said all the money went to some chairity....come to find out it was mostly pocket money for those that ran the show. Thats all the same stuff they told us. There was also the Goads that sang at all the functions....did they do anything other than Amway functions?

I have traveled to the homes of Paul Miller, Larry Winters, Bill Britt, Mickey Hamlet and spent unknown amounts of money on so called training. I always wondered how it was that the IRS allows a distributor to claim as an example, $6.00 for a tape as a business expense and the upline claims the same tape for a lesser cost. Is it then a product or a training tool?

Bottom line is if you read this...Dont Get In!!!

Thanks for the site Scott,

Steve in Indiana

Scott..

Paul and Louise got divorced just after I got in and Paul tried to say he was a Diamond for a bit and then he was just nowhere to be found. She actually built the business to Diamond and then she married Paul so it made since that he was out of the picture when they broke up.

It sounds like you went to the same meetings that I did. I went mostly to opens in Hampton at hotels and we had rallys in Williamsburg. i know you have heard of Britt School.....the function you need to go to to "really" learn the business from Bill Britt himself. Can i please have my money back...ha, ha.

Oh ya, my Emerald got divorced as well. I also found out my sponsor, the so called PSDD never qualified for Q12 and I would bet he didn't qualify 7500 every month either.

That brings up another funny fact...Yohey here in Indiana went Diamond while I was in the group and just after I got out I heard one of his 6 direct legs was caught cheating on his wife and was given the boot and another leg was stealing from someone and was given the boot also. However, you seem to still hear them called Diamonds with the 4 direct legs they have. I always found it funny that you could go back below qualification levels and then still be called what you were before.

What do you do and how did you get into doing all of this anyway. I don't think you were actually in were you?

I remember my wife and I use to go to the mall day in and day out to contact....that was a joke because we would see 5-10 people contacting at the same place any given day. Now I don't even go to the mall for any reason.

I sent you a photo not long ago of the Devoss house in Palm Beach, Fl...the house that amway built.

Take care,

Steve

Hi,

I have read your numerous articles about Quixtar, and have a few questions for you. Who are you? What is your background in business?

Why are you spending so much time and effort bad-mouthing Quixtar? What kind of opportunity can you offer me if I decide not to persue Quixtar?

Thank you
--bigdreamer11

Scott,

I was approached tonight concerning becoming a IBO with Quixtar. I consider myself fairly intelligent but I had a hard time understanding everything you were saying on your web site. Do I understand this right. Much of their profits come from materials that I will use (buy) to recruit more members and the cost of their pep rallies, seminars, national conventions and other such events, are at inflated costs in which I will not see and of that money in return? He did out right say they were not a MLM business opportunity. In your 2nd paragraph you used the letters LOS. What does LOS stand for? I your opinion, is this a no win situation for me? Do I need to cancel the order on my new Jaguar? Just kidding about the car. I'm not looking to get rich, but it would nice to have a residual income. Am I off track with Quixtar?

Thanks for your time and I look forward to your reply.

Richard

I'll take the dreamers over the mba's anyday.

Is this website your claim to fame? or have you done anything else?

interesting that Bo Short doesn't want to mention his new mlm name, but does mention in every opening statement that he has his own mlm now. He's smart enough to know that anybody that finds this site can find his company easily. Sounds good that he says he resigned, my feeling is that he wanted to be the kingpin, not controlled by them.

thanks for making this an "open" forum,

Rodney

I was in Amway/Quixtar and I can't tell you how many nights I would come home from a opp. meeting wondering why I wasn't making money if all the hype was true.

Do you see the industry undergoing a purification? Will it ever be respectable? I think Passport's CEO is on the right track.

Do you see HR whatever passing which would in effect legalize product pyramids? Apparently the FTC looks the other way because Quixtar probably still tells people to buy from their own store without enforcing retail sales.

Is Quixtar so bent on telling people how rich they can be that they would press for the bill to pass. HR must stand for 'hardly real'. "Just buy from your own store, teach others how to do the same, plug into our system and you'll be rich" Do they still preach this? Do people still fall for it? I can't believe I did. I'm no genius but I was so foolish for swallowing what they fed me, it makes me wonder if I don't need therapy.

In Passport, I could never see myself telling prospects to buy $85.00 worth of product from their own business, tell others to do the same, and then wait for the dough to pour in. They would laugh in my face. How did the industry come to this? I think it's the greed in all of us that craves so easily for riches. Especially when you're shown a Profiles of Success containing pictures of mansions, Cadillacs, motor coaches, etc....The hype factor is unreal. They feed off of peoples lowest instinct to have more, more, and more. Problem is , more is never enough.

From what I've read, I don't think some of the leaders from yesteryear, van Andel, de Voss, Yager,...ever thought it would turn out the way it has. I never got the idea that any one was trying to deliberately harm me. I had a lot of laughs and good times. The Yager system gave me some confidence and energy that a good attitude ,positive input and encouragement can give to someone as negative as I can be.

It was all a front thrown up by a desire to be rich. Desire is such a powerful emotion. Greed wears many deceptive disguises...impure motives can be almost impossible to detect, especially to those hungry for community. Incredible. Truly incredible. The only thing duplicated in Amway/Quixtar was greed disguised in a cloak of sincerity.

I hope and pray the industry is finally regaining respectability. It's still the purest form of free enterprise and those polluting it with hype will fall sooner or later....the sooner the better. I like what I read in a Yarnell book about how if one person with a big group screws up in this industry, his whole group finds out as quickly as any tool got them sponsored....the butterfly effect.....The industry truly has a self cleansing effect, does it not? A sort of built in purifier. A system that exploits for profit can also implode on itself taking thousands of downline with it and the word gets out, word of mouth 'advertising' kicks in and many who would gave been burned are spared the hopeless hype that pollutes a truly great industry. Thanks again for the site, Scott.

Sincerely,

Shannon

Hi Scott,

Recently I was introduced to Quixtar by a friend, and having general knowledge on the legalities of network marketing, something didn't seem right with this plan. I sought the advice on your website and found it extremely informational, but I was wondering if you could answer my ultimate question regarding Quixtar. During the discussion of Quixtar with my friend he said nothing about retailing to other people, and mainly focused on "buy for yourself", and number wise said that he personally consumes about 150PV of product monthly. I later asked him about selling the product to others, and whether or not it was necessary. He told me that in Quixtar, the first leg that you are sponsored into is a "apprenticeship leg" and you do not need to retail any products, but he said that if you wanted to retail products, you could. I asked if it was necessary to ever retail products, and he said that yes you did need to retail some products after you begun your own leg. Is this legal, and if not, why are they getting away with it?

Thank you for your time, and hopefully your response. Have a Happy Easter.

Allison

Scott,

Here is the letter I wrote last week but didn’t send at the time. I’m over the nasty experience now and haven’t looked back too much because I’ve been busy but I think it is worthy of reflection.

Dear Scott,

My husband and I are in our 40’s and were told about this by our neighbors. They were told by friends of theirs who heard about it from their son. My husband and I are both professionals and were told that it was a "virtual mall". We sat down and played with it for a couple of hours and decided to spend the mere $140 to earn discounts on things we buy already. We didn’t do any research because the price was so low, the risk was so low, there didn’t seem to be anything to lose.

We attended two open meetings and were surprised to find all these well dressed "children." The meetings were just story telling and didn’t seem to have much substance. We decided that as professional business people we really didn’t need to waste our valuable time with that. However, the spring leadership training was coming up and I decided to go with our friends. My husband wasn’t able to go because of prior commitments. We had paid our $140 a month ago and I attended this past weekend. I had not bought in to anything and had not been in any way indoctrinated. I attended as a "normal person" and am still reeling emotionally from everything that went on. I don’t think that I fell for it for a single minute but went into it without having read anything about it. Since returning home, my husband and I have checked out a few websites including yours. I would like to spend more time reading about brainwashing techniques and will do so as time permits.

On Friday night this mad man named John Crowe started ranting and raving about various things such as putting down education, stating that Noah’s Ark State Park in Turkey disproves evolution, and that Christopher Columbus came to America to spread Christianity. He hasn’t read the same revisionist history books I have which state that Christopher Columbus murdered and enslaved. I finally walked out of it since I couldn’t take it any more. I decided to sleep in on Saturday rather than go back since I’d gotten very little sleep on a grueling bus ride from Des Moines, IA to Louisville, KY.

However, around mid-morning, I decided to go back thinking that the people running the show just didn’t know much about leadership and that they didn’t know how to control a speaker that was behaving inappropriately. I went back and actually tried to talk to a couple of men there that were in some kind of role or another. They sort of had a glazed look on their faces as they informed me that what John Crowe had said was "part of it." I ended up leaving, taking a cab back to the hotel, went shopping, to a movie, had a great meal in the revolving restaurant at the Galt House hotel where we were staying and got to bed early. I joined the group on Sunday but couldn’t stick it out at the "worship service." I was so disgusted and appalled at the guilt and threats that Larry Winters was laying on the kids in order to convince them to "be saved." I ended up wandering the halls and found a place to sit on some steps. Before long I was joined by a young couple and another guy probably around thirty years old. They felt the same way I did and I figured there were little groups huddled around the building just like us, discussing it all and trying not to feel so alone.

I was in contact with my husband throughout the weekend telling him one crazy thing after another. I was using words like "indoctrination", "brain-washing", and saying how much I felt sorry for those poor kids that fell for it. On Sunday morning in the room as we were getting ready to go to the "worship service", I tried to discuss things with the other adults with whom I had come (and the son of one of them that has dropped out of college to pursue this.) I felt like I was talking to a brick wall. I think that a lot of the indoctrination that I had missed was how to tune out to people who find fault with their organization. Anyway, I realized that the adults I had come with were just as brainwashed as the kids.

For instance, when I mentioned how absurd I thought it was for John Crowe to have made fun of people who get educations, they informed me that on Saturday, one of the speakers had asked everyone to stand up who had attended "some college." I stopped them at that point and said that having some college wasn’t important; it was whether you had graduated from college. But they went on to say that the speaker then asked that only the people who had attended some college and that earned at least $50 thousand a year, remain standing. I was informed that most people sat down. I informed my acquaintances that certainly attending a few college classes would not qualify anyone for high paying jobs and once again stated that it is whether people had graduated from college. I told them that the question had been posed to get the answer that the speaker wanted. He was trying to show that attending college didn’t get you high paying jobs. I informed them that if the speaker had asked for people to stand that had graduated from college and then had asked them to remain standing if they made at least $50 thousand a year, most of those people would have remained standing. My comments were met with total silence.

Most of the people there over the weekend were completely sleep deprived and were staying awake by drinking their energy drink. I think that being sleep deprived must be part of the indoctrination process. There were so many facets to it that I think I’d like to do some research on the topic so I can compare. I think that the leaders of this thing must spend all that free time they have reading up on different ways to turn their followers into a bunch of zombies that can be led down any path they choose.

Here it is Tuesday and I’m still reeling from it. I guess I had never been subjected to mind control techniques like this or at least not anything close to this degree. I just couldn’t understand how they couldn’t all see through it. I guess that when it all started coming together for me was on the bus on the way home when they passed around a microphone and told how they felt about the weekend. Here were some of the comments:

In closing, I just want to say that these people are monsters. The monsters tell the kids to dress up and then sell them cheap suits and ties. The monsters tell them they can’t succeed if they don’t attend all functions and then drain them of what little money they have in order to attend. Once they get to the functions, the monsters continue the brainwashing process. The monsters tell them that if they don’t do well, it’s because they just aren’t trying hard enough. The monsters praise them for making "Eagle" and then tell them that they are getting too much praise for "just making Eagle."

I hope that these people that are being tricked can recover financially and emotionally after they’ve finally had to accept that they just aren’t going to make it. I wonder if they can ever be satisfied in life after having their expectations raised to such levels. Right now they can’t see that under Larry Winters’ humor lies a very sinister man but hopefully they will come to that realization sooner rather than later. All the people that stood on that stage are the biggest bunch of lowlifes I’ve ever seen assembled in one place. I hope that the ignorant masses will be able to someday realize that they aren’t failures in life, they were just gullible and deceived by people who understand how to manipulate them. While it is immoral, unethical, and must surely make our loving and merciful God make note that humankind has sunk to new depths, I don’t’ suppose it is illegal to do what they are doing. It will be interesting to see what comes of this in the years to come.

I’m just curious about your opinion. How dangerous are these people?

Janet

Hi Scott!

My husband is attempting to get roped into this Quixtar scheme. I told him it was a farce and I found your information on your site extremely helpful. I hope that it is ok for me to print this out and SHOW him what we are talking about. Three suits came over last night and were beginning to fill his head with a bunch of garbage. Anyway, thank you for providing some great information for us!!

Have a good day!

Julie

Dear Scott,

I'd like to tell you about my recent experience with a Quixtar IBO. It's nothing you don't already know, of course, but I feel like venting and I really like your website.

An aquaintance approached me about a 'special business opportunity,' and asked me to listen to an audio CD before we talked at length. The CD meant to 'introduce' the business venture was unusually vague, but it did mention InterNet Associates, or INA. After digging online, I finally discovered the relationship between INA, Quixtar, and Amway. When I told her I decided not to pursue this business, she said, "That surprises me, because the CD didn't say anything about the business."

I wanted to say, "Then why did you give it to me?" Of course, I didn't say that, but I did tell her that I'd discovered that INA was Quixtar and Quixtar was Amway -- just retailored for the information age. She sounded quite surprised, but then she started telling me how great Amway was. "If you've been burned on Amway, though, don't worry - Amway doesn't even exist anymore!" Again, I thought to myself, "Amway was so great that -- it doesn't exist anymore? Obviously we aren't communicating."

She told me that I really didn't understand the business plan. This was fifteen minutes into our talk, so I told her what I knew of the Quixtar's plan:

1) IBO's pay to sell products online, through a central website;

2) Quixtar's website says nothing about consumers buying anything, or even how to buy;

3) Quixtar's website only talks about joining a business everyone can do;

4) no one can buy any products without a secret code provided by an IBO;

5) you can't make any real money unless you register other IBO's "under" you;

6) you can't make any real money unless you, and the IBO's "under" you, sell motivational material to each other.

After listing these points, I said, "Have I misunderstood Quixtar's business plan?" She said no, but that she still wishes we could get together so she could explain it in more detail.

It took me ten more minutes to get her off the phone. Later, my wife and I were talking, and we agreed that if she would've just said, "Well, thanks anyway! Maybe you could try buying something from me when I get off the ground," then I really would've supported her. Now, it's doubtful I'll have much to say to her in the future.

Thanks for the great website, which reminds people that there's no substitute for hard work at a real job over the long haul.

Brian

I found your site...and found it to be very interesting!

I was an Amway distributor. I got out, but I am interested in finding out what happened to my upline. Their names are Rick and Janine Metcalf and they were from North Carolina. Are they still active in the business? Any information that you could share with me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, first of all let me start by telling you I love your research!!! A friend asked me to go to a meeting about a year ago I could tell instantly this was a pyramid scheme!!! I told my frind to stay away!! but no, he joined and is still brain washed in this cult! I guess you could say he drank the kool-aid!! ha ha ha! but this not a funny situation!! my friend was talked into dropping out of the university of michigan and going full blast on this trash!! well he is upside down now, and he can not even afford to eat!

Any ways after researching this scam I came to realize Bill and Mark both live in my area.. I live in grand blanc. I wish I could do something to shut these no good for nothing scum balls down!

thank you for reading this!! keep up the good work

Scott,

I have been actively pursuing my dreams of financial freedom for a couple years now. I have had ups and downs, but I have never encountered any of the horrific tales that you post. However, I am not saying that some may not be true. In every business you encounter, you will find some genuine people and also some not so honest. Not every business man or woman is honest. If everyone was honest, then the courts would be closed and we would have plenty of unemployed lawyers to contend with. I just know from my experiences with my up-line and cross-line, that I feel safe. I have had experiences shared with me from people still in and others who have chose to leave the business about some pretty sad experiences. I am glad that you put your site up. I am happy that you use your freedom that many of us take for granted (speech). You see I have served for 14 years in the military and do and will continue to exercise my rights in this business. Also, where do you and some your contributors get off in calling me a cult? I am also a Christian by the way. Hey if Christianity isn't for you, if it makes you feel uncomfortable (or anyone reading this uncomfortable) then just decide not to be one. If you don't like the business, then just say no, but lets not dip down to the middle school tactics of calling each other names or stereotyping. If a business decides to have a church service the last day of its seminars rather than a keg tapping, well good for them.

Well, I have some duties to take care of, but look forward to any response you may have.

Please keep any e-mail or personal addresses confidential. Thank You

Ray

Hi Scott- I really appreciated finding your site on the web re: the above. Do you have any updated information about Team 5K?

While I consider myself a smart, intelligent person, I was caught up in the hype and signed up as an IBO two weeks ago--unfortunately before I had time to see yours and other sites/feedback, etc., After reading everything my gut is telling me to run like hell and cut my losses! Dear mr. Larsen,

I wish we could take your information and post it in newspapers nationwide. For 7 years we were involved in this, I should say my husband was. I told him after 3 years forget it, I am done with meetings, functions etc.... because it was costing us money. He still went on and on...he totally changed in his personality, who he hung with he even disowned family for being negative. It took all our money but it was all my fault because I didn't support him. We were in Jim And Maureen Wrights business....friends who loved us??? I don't think so, read the Purpose Driven Life Book, the people in this business are not genuine friends, and they need to quit quoting the Bible because they are the farthest thing from true Christians.

To make a long story short, Last May I could take it any more. I had so much guilt built up for not Homeschooling my kids, for sending them to daycare, for working, for being Catholic because they bash Catholics, for reading the newspaper and watching T.V. -- I was totally off the beatin path of they expected so I felt like a failure . My husband was totally brainwashed and what was I to do...so I tried to take my own life, a very serious attempt. I was hospitalized for 10 days, never onced heard from thos true friedns from Amway and still haven't.

I have been given a second chance and am doing great but I still am so mad that I let them almost ruin our lives. My husbands family knew that he changed and said we will need to deprogram him but how. We are doing better he still thinks the business works but he took it too seriously.

I just want to tell you to keep on researching and letting people know what you find.

You are very much appreciated!!!!

I don't want anymore lives ruined.

Amy

Hi,

I am a first time visitor of your site, I am from the Virgin Islands. I must commend your efforts to inform people about quixtar and amway.

A friend of mind asked me to forward this e-mail to you. It's a letter from a current IBO Direct of Quixtar whom has alot to say to the company.you can e-mail me back and I guess she wants you to publish this letter...

Micheal

Letter Below:

03/11/2004

An open letter to the Amway Company and WWW.Quixtar.com

This is not a complaint, but simply a true testimonial of the Business.

Dear Amway and Quixtar,

A few years ago, a couple name Nevaldo and Porsha Niles were kicked out of the business or so we was told by our upline Scott Barber. Now I don’t know the situation from Quixtar’s end as to how your company finally dealt with the Niles, but we did know and still do know the situations from our end, here in St. Thomas and the Caribbean.

I felt terrible for the Niles then and now. My husband and I felt like speaking out against what was happening in St. Thomas to the Niles back in, I believe 1999. You only know 10% of what really went on! For our peace of mind with God and relieving our self of guilt, we now speak out. Maybe it’s to late for us to speak out, but it is not too late for your company to take into consideration what we are about to say.

Although, I can say terrible things about Scott Barber, which will be true, to add, in some instances an underestimation of what he is about, we will leave that for Scott’s own conscience to decide when it needs to be said.

The Niles was not our upline or did they benefit financially from our Quixtar Business; they were crossline from us. This couple was superb with the business and many people include us envied the way they built the Amway and Quixtar business here in St. Thomas. Night after night, the Niles were publicly visible, they went out and built the business relentlessly.

Our envy however, was not negative it was positive. We looked at this Niles and saw them as an example for us to follow in the Barber Group known then as the "Caribbean Connection and Private Business Development". Scott Barber, although he was Niles upline too, appeared to have taken the Niles business growth negatively. We can say this due to personal conversations we had with him both past and present.

Whatever the problem was between Barber and Niles in 1999, Barber’s determination to get Niles out of the Business started with his untruthful cries to John Crowe, our upline Double Diamond then to you, Amway. Scott manipulated Crowe and Amway to come after Niles and their group when Niles decided to separate their business activities from the Barbers. The minute Niles Group (The Solid Team), pulled away from Barber’s group, Barber’s meetings, seminars and rallies, everything else Barber group were doing instantly went flat. Only then we can now see how big an organization the Niles possessed under Scott Barber.

Scott was furious and now even more determine to get rid of Niles and their Team, The Solid Team. Scott had meetings with some of the people in Niles group to encourage them to not stay with Niles because Scott was about to write to Amway to shut the Niles Completely out of business.Scott threatened Niles downline by telling them, they too would be included in the shut down if they remained with Niles and their separations. This move by Scott Barber caused major negative in both groups and the entire island. Scott made sure that every one knew Niles were out of the business. Ironically, this is the same man (Scott) that spoke so well about the Niles for years and now for Scott to turn around and be so cruel and negative towards the Niles is disturbing to our group and us.

Looking back, if Scott Barber was a wise man, he would have endorsed the move Niles group did and leave them alone. The Solid Team continued to grow, separate and apart from Barber’s group. We can relate to the Niles because we too once had a big group although not as big as Niles. Scott doesn’t care! The Niles is St. Thomian’s, Scott Barber is not a St. Thomian, and he is from Washington, D.C. He doesn’t have children and probably will never have any. Even up to this day, Scott Barber has no remorse for what he did to Niles or still does today to people in the Quixtar Business because all he cares about is MAKING MONEY. However, we have plenty of remorse and are sorry to see the Niles go. We constantly think of the Niles, how their children are doing and if they are okay. To my knowledge, no one has heard from the Niles since and we don’t blame them. A lot of other negatives in the Quixtar business has transpired since the Niles departure and this time, Scott Barber can’t blame it on the Niles. Our suggestion to Scott is to look in the mirror for the source.

Surprisingly, Niles other upline, Laurance and Sandra Bonelli, stood by and watch his biggest downline group ever, fall without even standing up for his own group. What wimps. Bonelli’s only words were, "Talk to Scott". Bonelli’s knew they would be the beneficiaries of the Niles group if the Niles were to fall.

Nonetheless, Scott Barber’s desire to get rid of the Niles succeeded. Niles and The Solid Team did not deserve any of this. We now realize how important it was to have the Niles around even if it’s apart from the Barber Group meetings. The Niles and their team dynamics in the business can never be replaced, they were the best, and we now know why they called themselves, the solid team. We still attend Barber meetings today but vaguely including the last one with John Crowe this month. The Niles and the Solid team going their own separate ways, is still felt in the Barber group. The person(s) who really needs to be punished in this case, got away like a big fat rat. "Who the Cap fit, let them wear it".

In closing, we say to the rest of the Barber Group and those who straddled in from the Niles group. If Barber, can do this to the Niles at the Niles level of success in Amway or Quixtar, what can he do to you. For Amway or Quixtar to condone what appears to be such an evil plot, makes me wonder whether or not we too should continue. What happens to our group if we decided like the Niles to end our business relationship with Barber and go our separate ways to build Quixtar? Will it be the same or worse?

As born again Christians and current Quixtar IBOS, we asked you to look inside Quixtar, yourself, and Barber’s way of manipulating the up and coming in QUIXTAR. PLEASE CLEAN UP YOUR ACTS OR IT WILL GET WORSE. Take what we say into consideration or call this letter whatever you want, for we say to you Quixtar owners and officers: (You can change the name Amway to Quixtar and later on Quixtar to something else, but you can never change people like Scott Barber in your Networking Marketing Business) Your company constantly gets rid of or penalizes individuals that are up and coming in order to please old farts like Scott Barber who hang around the business and make money off of other people blood, sweat, and tears like the Niles.I refuse to identify who we are because we too are in financial debt to Scott Barber. We too were allowed to do things with Barber privately that Niles were pounded for, we too are guilty of hurting people in the Business like Scott Barber have done for years even before the Niles got involve, NO MORE!

Please put a stop to these types of immoral and in some instances illegal activities in all Quixtar Groups or you will face the wrath of God! It’s Guaranteed!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Nicole George

P. S. Mrs. Nicole George is a name made up due to fear of retaliation from Scott Barber and sadly even you Quixtar. Your past always tells your present. We are fearful that what happen to Niles will happen to us in the future. One day we will make ourselves known to the Niles as the author of this letter, until then we asked the Niles to forgive us of any wrong doing, especially for not speaking out then. We are willing to be a whistle blower in Scott Barber’s group, which will only come with total immunity. In this case and sadly enough, we don’t think that’s possible.

Dear Scott,

I was in INA. (I HAVE BEEN IN AMWAY FOR OVER 20 YEARS.) I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO BRENT GOVE AND OUR UP LINE? I CAN REMEMBER THAT BEV JOHNSONS HUSBAND LEFT HER FOR ANOTHER WOMEN AND INA WAS GONE!

I WANT TO THANK RICH AND JAY FOR GIVING ME THE NAME OF SKIP ROSS AND OG MANDINO. WITHOUT THESE TWO MEN I DON'T KNOW WHERE I WOULD BE. I SPENT A LOT OF MONEY IN AMWAY... BUT.... THE EDUCATION I GOT FROM SKIP AND ROSS ARE PRICELESS!

(I AM NOT THE BEST WRITER.) I WANTED SOMEONE IN AMWAY TO KNOW THAT EVEN IF I DIDN'T GET ON STAGE..........I AM A CROWN AND I WILL ALWAYS ACT AS A CROWN .......THE TEACHING THAT I GOT THROUGH AMWAY GAVE ME THE COURAGE TO GET THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD. I AM NOW THE GROUP EXERCISE DIRECTOR OF THE LARGEST HEALTH CLUB IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. I AM THE MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER I HAVE ALWAYS DREAMED OF.. MAYBE NOT ON AN AMWAY STAGE.. BUT IT IS THE NEXT BEST THING.(I JUST ACT LIKE I AM ON THE AMWAY STAGE)

SCOTT,

IF YOU KNOW THESE MEN (OG AND SKIP) THANK THEM FOR ME. IF THEY EVER NEED SOMEONE TO MOTIVATE A CROWD OF AMWAY PEOPLE I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THE CHANCE!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

CARIN

A friend of ours is trying to get us to join Biz net productions, but he will not tell us what it is and what they sell. Could you please tell me what Biz net productions is exactly?

Thank you,

Amy

Scott,

I was approached by Quixtar to join the group. My sister in law has joined as an IBO. I signed up as a member and canceled within first 30 days. When I tried to sign up as an IBO they told me I would not be put into the pyramid line that I would have to start a new arm under my sister in law so I backed out. They truly DO NOT promote handing out catalogs to people. I was told it is ALL ABOUT RECRUITING new IBO's. What they are doing does not sound legal according to the terms listed on your site.

Hi Collin,

> Did they mention the need to have members and clients in order to earn bonuses on downline volume?

Scott,

They did not mention needing to have member clients in order to benefit from the system. In fact when I said I would want to pass out catalogs and market the products to people, I was told this is not how the system works that they do not do that and the only way to make it work would be to get people to sign up as IBO's.

They told me I should sign up as a IBO (even if I did not plan on recruiting) because I would then start earning pv for any other IBO's that signed up after me. This way I would get a bigger percent back on the volume of product I would purchase for myself. I was told that it was possible for the line I would be put into to max out at about 25% back.

Then if I wanted to receive any more benefit I would have to start my own downline. I have since tried to warn my sister in law about the business she got involved in but she has just chosen to ignore the facts.

Hi Scott,

Great Site. Bob and Bonnie Howard EDC (joined Yager group, but not under Dex. No longer in Diamond Quest.

Brad and Vera Doyle (question thier Diamondship, moved to Casey Comden group from Howard Organization)

Tom and Lori Hanson (question thier Diamondship)

Berny and Cathy Marble (question thier Diamondship)

Randy and Cathy Wolfe, Emeralds, moved with Brad and Vera Doyle under Casey Comdon group (question thier Emeraldship)

I love your site with all the info and feel blessed to have walked away with losing only $30.000. Our friends we sponsored, are still in and going strong, buying, buying, buying, and have never profited. They have spent well over $150,000.plus

Not sure if any of these pins are quailifying anymore, but would like to find out. :)

Thanks Teri

Scott: I read months ago on your site about Don Storms' suspension over 4Nexchange. What's happened to him since? He was my upline diamond (crown, or whatever the hell he was) and I'm very curious as to his current and future status. I haven't had any contact with my upline since I went inactive a couple years ago. Those people really are evil.

They brainwash and manipulate people into spending, sometimes, dozens of thousands of dollars on so-called "tools" that are completely worthless. The tapes and functions tell you nothing useful about business building (the word "useful" is very important here). The main message is "buy more tapes, books, and function tickets". Along with this you are taught that everybody who doesn't go along is stupid and anyone who questions the business is evil, even as you run yourself into astronomical debt throwing money at a business that will likely never work! Keep me posted!

Thanks. Kurt.

HI Scott,

Thank you most kindly for providing me with some very useful information.

Re your "Major Quixtar Lines of Sponsorship" they ALL seem to have a Tools requirement to varying degrees; well, if not requirement, we are told that one is doomed to failure and will most definitely not succeed without them.

The sad thing is, I DO believe in the Quixtar (Choices/Partner Stores) and I was wondering if there is ANY LOS out there that does not place such an emphasis on the tools. I've love to find a like-minded group that is interested in promoting the PRODUCTS, NOT just the TOOLS !

I feel like an orphan looking for a home.

Phil

Just wondering if you knew a way to see where someone who I was sponsored by in Amway was - pin wise or otherwise? Ken and Joan Hendon (Emerald as of 1997 - PA )- Harties - ?

When you take into account the whole leadership of the organization( emerald and above ) , this is a very small percentage compared to the national average. People get divorced everyday in this country because they have relationship problems and perhaps it is due in some small part to getting outing of balance with their chosen profession. The problem is that you don't seem to dump on any other profession like medicine, law, educators, clergy, etc. to which they all have higher divorce ratings than the list you just came up with. You seem to have an axe to grind and believe me you will probably get all the way down to the handle and hurt your hand befor you make a valid point. People quit everything, from diets to business' why should this be any different. You obviously quit and that in and of itself is not a problem because it just wasn't for you. That's o.k. As for my wife and myself, our income is comensurate with our effort, but the books in the system have helped us to grow and our relationship was saved by an upline leader about nine years ago and we continue to grow. I would also like to note that even though some people that were in our group may no longer be in the business, they still remember the good times that they had and are thankful for being exposed to some of the material and information that helped the to grow personally. I will never be ashamed of my association or be afraid to sponsor someone into this opportunity and let them decide for themslves.I suggest to you that you move on to something more productive in life, like taking out the trash.Print this without changing the text along with the garbage you spilled onto the internet.

Hi Scott

I was in the International Business Systems AMO in the UK - for about 3 years from circa 1995 to 1998.

This organisation is led by two diamond couples - Pat and Greta Gregory and Jerry and Mandy Scriven.

My emerald upline were a couple in their late 30's called Lee and Sandy McCann. Their upline (also emeralds) were a couple called John and Caroline Golekzka. John and Caroline's diamond upline were the Scrivens.

John and Caroline are still emerals in IBS - see this web-site.

http://www.ibsnews.co.uk/people.html#jcg

Towards the end of our spell (sentence?!) with IBS Lee and Sandy McCann split up (and later divorced). Happened rather suddenly and not a great deal was said about it! Quite funny actually because their split-up obviously happened after IBS had made a video of an emerald jaunt to Cyprus - when the video of their holiday was shown at the next major function (family reunion) the video had been crudely edited so that Lee was still in the video but Sandy's presence had been edited out!!

We were personally sponsored by directs in the business and so we got to meet Lee and Sandy more than most people did. Nice enough couple, if you ignore the usual Amway insincerity, but if was fairly obvious to us that poor old Sandy was not really comfortable with the business. We definately got the impression that she pretty much hated all the functions and talks & meeting people that they had to do. Felt sorry for her really. My guess is that Lee's attitude to this was the usual "it is me or the business". He came across as a very strong minded individual. Well, it seems that she may have called his bluff.

Anyway, after they split up Lee seemed to disappear from the scene. You will not find him mentioned anywhere on the IBS websites.

On a slightly different note I'll try to find out some information for you ref. your web-site page about higher pins in IBS who have simply disappeared from sight. Namely Bernie & Janet De-Souza (D) , Lyndon & Janet Farrington (E), Neil & Ruth Salway (E) & John & Nancy Lear (E) - as listed on your web-site.

Feel free to put this info' onto your web-site - but I'd be obliged if you did not attribute it to me.

If you have any further questions about this then don't hesitate to mail me.

Best regards.

M.

btw - in case you had not guessed, getting out of that 'business' was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. What amazes me is that there are still couples in there (who were there when we started) who are not getting anywhere at all but do not leave. There's a lot of mind-control going on - it took me almost 2 years, after leaving, to get it out of my system.

Hello Scott,

A year ago quit my IBOship under Terry Taylor's organization (part of Miller/Britt), and I am almost certain that Terry and Lori Taylor can be added to the list of diamonds who at one time or another missed qualification for Diamond. I believe they've been able to maintain their Q-12 status but structurally they have not requalified for Diamond in a long time, I'm not sure if you can add this information on without hard core facts. But having been one of his downline for 6 years, I know that he and his wife have not qualified to go to Peter Island on many occasions.

I also wanted to know if it would be appropriate to add Debbie Miller's name to the list of former Crown distributors, since Paul seems to have erased her face and name from everything?

At this moment, I know first hand that there is quite a bit of turmoil going on in the Taylor/ Miller organization because of Paul and debbie's break up. I know that Terry's organization is currently tying into Larry Winter's organization instead of dealing directly with Paul Miller who's Terry's direct upline. If you go to www.taylorcom.net/office, you will see what I mean. Terry actually instructs his IBO's to register for more BWW information by entering LArry and Pam Winters as their upline instead of Paul Miller. I wonder why??

So my point Scott, was that Terry Taylor has not been a qualified diamond in MANY years. Now we hear nothing from his leg containing 2 emeralds. (Stan Cherry etc)

Thanks for your time!

S.

Dear Mr. Larsen,

Have some exciting news! I was a skeptic about Quixtar in the beginning, but after 1 month in the business I recieved my first bonus check of $314.00. Registered 13 people in January, 2004. I know that if I help enough people get what they want, I will receive what I want!!

Thanks!

Martha Andes

Scott, noticed that Toshi Taba is no longer listed in the success stories on the WWDB web site. He was the king pin for Hawaii for many years. Thanks for the site. Randy and Sandy Sears are back on WWDB's profiles. Ruby Meyers is off the site as well. Thanks for the site. Steve
