World Wide Group Non-Profit Org?
Over the course of the two years my web site has been up, World Wide Group, formerly registered as WWDB distributors have routinely told me that in contrast to other lines of Amway/Quixtar lines of sponsorship, World Wide Group is a nonprofit organization. No one is supposed to make money off of BSM's. It is supposed that everything is sold at cost. Site visitors confirm this:
"***Corrolary: Business support materials are made by (at least in my organization) the World Wide Group. (wwdb.com) A non-profit org that generates materials." dkawasak@usc.edu
4/20/2000"Organizations such as "World Wide Dream Builders", on the other hand, exist as non-profit entities" thok@technologist.com
5/1/2000" I am part of a group known as World Wide Dream Builders headed by Ron Puryear. I have seen financial statements and read over many reports. I have sat down with employees of his company and talked to them away from the situation to see what the truth was and they showed me the financial records that only Diamonds on his council have access to. These records showed me that WWDB is a non-profit organization."
AUS website 7/95-1/96"I just became a distributor about four weeks ago through a non-profit corporation called World Wide Dream Builders. I was wondering what you knew about this particular line of sponsorship."
AUS website 7/95-1/96"As I spent time in the business, I heard information about key issues change often. One report that changed concerned World Wide being a non-profit organization. I never heard that from Mr. Puryear, only from misinformed members of my upline who eventually, years later, corrected that."
AUS website 2/96-3/96"I was blatantly told that WWDB is a non-profit organization"
Site visitor 1/03/01.Evidence that World Wide Group is not a nonprofit corporation:
From the Secretary of State of Washington State: http://www.secstate.wa.gov/corps/types.htm
The Limited Liability Company (LLC)* and the Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)* are the newest forms of business structure in Washington. An LLC or LLP is formed by one or more individuals or entities through a special written agreement. The agreement details the organization of the LLC or LLP, including: provisions for management, assignability of interests, and distribution of profits or losses. Limited liability companies and limited liability partnerships are permitted to engage in any lawful, for profit business or activity other than banking or insurance.
If your sponsor says that World Wide is Non-Profit call World Wide at 509-924-0955 and ask them yourself. On a phone call I made asking this question, the receptionist told me they were a non-profit organization. It seems even their own employees don't know so it is not surprising your upline doesn't either.

WWDB non-direct distributors have claimed that no money is made on tape sales.
"I have close personal friends that make over a Million a yr. from Amway after less than 9 yr.. Not one penny from TOOLS."
mike....@wwdb.org Site VisitorIt would seem that many of the WWDB distributors have been mislead about the income from tapes. There will be more proof to come on this subject.
"I am a Direct Distributor (Platinum) in the World Wide Dreambuilders organization. The tools break for tapes is as follows: Direct $1.00 off, Emerald $.50 off, Diamond I don't know but it is something."
"What I can tell you about WWDB is that Ron Puryear turned over ownership of WWDB to his Diamonds. They own it. There is a management team of say the 10 largest businesses (it's between 10 and 20). They meet and set policy. It is never said that WWDB is a non-profit. What is implied to the organization is that all of the profits are plowed back into WWDB"

In other lines of sponsorships the tape and seminar profits help defray the huge travel and promotion costs of upline Diamonds and Emeralds so that they can keep more of the Amway products income. Public Court documents of an Executive Diamond in the INA organization where his business results were published, showed gross revenue of over $1.5 Million, and a business net profit of $302 thousand. 80% of his revenue from Amway and INA was spent on promoting the business. In the case of WWDB, they might be able to shoulder the burden of many of the Diamond's overhead costs of travel and telephone through payments from the LLC, where as other lines of sponsorship cover these costs as individuals. If WWDB did sell tapes at manufacturing cost, they would only cost about $0.65 each. A WWDB tape costs $7. Ask them what happens to the $6.35/tape in gross profit!
WWDB has the highest tape prices of all the groups, but yet some say they do not make money from tapes. It is proven from other groups that there is tremendous profit in tapes. WWDB must pay it out, else their tapes prices would be much lower. One must ask if Yager Diamond-Schmitz (see court filing) will not do the business without tools income, how does a WWDB Diamond finance the business without a tape and function ticket kickback? Either WWDB Emeralds and Diamonds are willing to work for a lot less than Yager Emeralds and Diamonds or they benefit somehow from the tape and seminar excesses.
If you have tape recordings of them saying the World Wide Group or WWDB is a nonprofit organization, no one makes money on tapes in WWDB or literature which shows this, I would like copies.
Other Tid-Bits on WWDB
What WWDB (World Wide Dreambuilders) did was to set up their own MLM. I'm not sure of the legal specifics, but they did set up an MLM for their tools business. Why you might ask? To boost profitability. Here is what they have done. First, they funded some guys to produce a piece of software called StarClient. The company, Freedom Software, located in Plymouth, Minnesota (phone 612-476-1277), used to produce a DOS based application for Amway distributors. Now they produce this starclient software exclusively for WWDB. http://www.starclient.com . They sell the 'light' version for $25, which is only good for six months, then you have to pay $50 every six months for 'maintenance'. Here is the best part. If you don't renew the license, the software stops functioning! I don't know of any commercial software that is licensed this way (and I'm in the software business). Can you say income stream? Furthermore, this software is the biggest piece of crap that I have ever used. It is less than shareware. Go to the site link above and do the research yourself. Also make sure you add that cost to your calculations
Second, WWDB has dumped AMVOX in favor of their own communications system. I was told that when Greg Duncan proposed this system to his Double Eagle directs, it went over like a lead balloon. In the interests of revenue, they went through with it anyway. Check out http://www.effectnet.com/Kate_demo.html . This is a new system that costs $24.95 per month as well as 12 cents per minute for outbound connection charges. I can't see this being any cheaper than Amvox.
Lastly, the biggest thorn in my side was the 4% shipping and handling cost that is added to every upline product and tool order. I used to think and it was sold to me that this covered the costs for the Direct for shipping. Not so. It turns out that, as far as tools go, the Emerald or Diamond charges the upline Direct (Platinum) the actual cost of shipping for all the tool orders, while they (the Direct) also pays the 4% charge. This 4% is a pure profit to the Diamond! Not bad!
Hope all of this gives you some food for thought.
