Amway/Quixtar distributors have been trained in handling questions. One of the most common questions asked is "is it Amway?" They will then come back and say "yes, what do you know about it". In many cases people don't know much about it, giving the distributor the upper hand. Here is a short list of things you can say that you know about the business.
- I don't want to sell stuff to my friends. The Amway/Quixtar retail sales rule (for the USA) requires I sell at least 50PV/month and service 10 retail customers to qualify for a performance bonus.
- Sales have dropped 28% in two years. I want to be involved with a business that is growing, not shrinking.
- Most distributors lose money in the business, and the few making money earn money from selling tapes, books, and seminars. There have been numerous law suits and tax court cases proving this.
- There is much information on the net to suggest the prices are not competitive with discount stores. Almost 50% of distributors quit each year as stated by Amway.
