Distributors Doing it Right!

Every now and then a site reader writes me about what they are doing to actually report a profit with their Amway business. These people have obviously found a market for the products and have thriving profitable distributorships doing exactly what Amway was meant to do - move products to retail customers! Amway can be profitable but you must move product to retail customers. Just see below.

I have viewed your web site and read it's articles on the Amway/Quixtar business. I would like to first state that I am a Canadian IBO and that any info I give here pertains to the Canadian market only. I will agree with you that some of Amway's or Quixtar's products are quite expensive. But, I have also found that some of their products in the Canadian marketplace are cheaper than Wal-Mart or Zellers. Their clothing line in Canada seems to be highly competitive with the Bay, Zellers, Wal-Mart and Sears. Their electronics areas are quite expensive along with some of their food line. As for there standard SA13 product catalogue which sells there Amway core line products, some are cheaper, some more expensive. Overall, myself I sell only those products that are price competitive with the local market place. I have been selling about 8,000 dollars worth of merchandise per month in the cleaning and coffee areas. It is not a perfect business but it has provided some profit for me. Hope this gives you a different viewpoint to consider. Write back with your reply. Thanks Tim

We are now making money in the business by retailing artistry. I used the products for 3 months first and really like them so just networked when people asked what I was using. Honestly, no hype all truth......I am a very outgoing person ......I made over $1,000. last month on artistry. Christmas is coming and Husbands and Mother/Daughter's bought, I realize that was a peak month and I expect to average about $300 a month. So there is some money to be made if people know how to market and network the products. (when I say made that is money in my pocket after giving discounts and paying for supplies).

Dear Mr. Larson,

From the time I have started in the business, which wasn't too long ago, i have spent $1200(+-) i have made a small profit of 500 (+-) so far, from what i notice in my business checking account. That is just from my 4 customers a month. I started out with a balance of $50 in that account. I use that money for my orders and my tools/functions.

My customers buy from me at retail cost. My wife and I, we also are customers to our business, so I guess you could say I have 5 couples/singles that are customers. We buy our products at retail price, just like the other customers.

The expenses that are paid out are for the tools to help build the business, also for the trips/functions, gas for the car, and other business expenses. The money earned pays for all of that stuff. The business is doing awesome for us and we plan to be diamonds someday.

I became an Amway distributor a few years ago to earn extra spending money.

I sell products to my friends and neighbors and they seem to like the quality of the products. I don't make a ton of money, I wasn't expecting to. I chose Amway because I liked their products and they had more products than, Avon, Tupperware, Mary Kay etc. I am not in a group of Amway distributors that try to recruit people. Nor have I ever bought a tape or gone to a seminar. I have never lost a dime being associtaed with Amway. In the past few years I have become aware of the negativity that these groups have generated through past distributors, but not all Amway distributors are in a group or want to recruit people. I make only about $400 a month and that is fine for me. The income comes in handy.
